I think this one meant for people buying and planning to hold for 5 years. If you do that. Charges only $2.

decided to pay $2 and apply. I think it will be oversubscribed and each investor will only get a small amount anyway, looking at how Astrea IV was allocated...

This is more of a buy and forget it about for 5 years sort of thing, because my warchest will grow even larger with my Perennial bond refund tomorrow....

Can apply via online banking of OCBC/ UOB even though CDP crediting bank is DBS?

Since going to be oversubscribed, refund probably faster via OCBC/ UOB, like in SSB application.?

guys, trying to buy the bond now using UOB.

Is it only can buy during office hours? giving me error

We are unable to process your request due to one of the following reasons. .

· This service is currently unavailable
· Your transaction is unsuccessful

I also don't see the temasek bond on the website. only see SSB and SGS, IPO.

Any pros can enlighten?

Another question, if i put in more, is it more chances for ballot? Or they ballot by person?

According to the offer documents it should be available on UOB internet banking and 24 hours a day. If it is really not working, have to use an ATM instead. :s11:

At other HWZ thread, it is said that the MBH ETF has an expense ratio of up to 0.3%... means yield should be corrected by 0.3%?

https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/...ffers-new-sgd-corporate-bond-etf-5871865.html

I am not sure whether one needs to deduct the MBH ETF's TER (total expense ratio) from the "indicative yield" to get an "effective yield" for a fairer comparison to T2023-S$ fixed interest rate.

Perhaps an expert on bond ETFs could comment.

As an aside, the MBH ETF's TER of 0.3% is relatively expensive. There are bond ETFs traded on foreign stock exchanges (other than our local SGX) that do have TER as low as 0.12%. There are also bond ETFs with yield about 4.0%.

I suppose the average Singapore retail investor is always being taken advantage of by the Singapore financial services industry. I don't understand why Temasek offers this bond at 2.7% to retail investors (and a portion to institutional investors) when it can offer bonds in MBH ETF at 4.2% to institutional investors only. Perhaps institutional investors are not so gullible.

That Temasek bond held by the ETF is a 40-year bond issued in 2010 and maturing in 2050. The current bond being offered is only for 5 years. This goes some way to explaining the difference in yield.

First of all you need to understand what is a yield curve.
