initially thgt of the pocophone.
but wireless charging is quite a need for me. i use it all the time.

buy a wireless charging pad (Nillkin brand work best) and snap it on the back of the phone with a protective rubber/hard case. Those heat and contact issues are ********, I am using it on OnePlus One and its really effective than everyday plugging charging wire in and out until tulan.

Total extra cost for the wireless charging capability less than $35 ($25 Qi charger + $10 charging pad) settled.

aftermarket wireless charging have been there for quite some time, I was hesitant in using it because of heat and efficiency issues but I was damn wrong. Make sure you buy good branded charging pad instead of those cheapskate unbrand pads.

There are 3 types of connectors that suit almost all phones on the market... namely for iphones, mini USB (up and down versions) and type-C.

For Poco which is using Type-C connection, you'll have to specify type-C connector when you are choosing the pad at checkout. I personally used Nillkin brand which is working very well for me and it is not expensive at all, less than $15 if buying from Singapore or USD $8 if buying from AliExpress (/w free standard shipping)

Wireless chargers are getting cheaper too around $20 range like Baseus.

Note: Do not open up the phone backcasing to slot in charging pad, instead buy a hard rubber case and snap it with the pad in between.

Ok, so I would need to buy a case to hold the receiver.
Alot new phones now are non removable.

Does it still charge, for the thicker type ie otter box type. ?

And the speed of charging. Is it alot slower?

Ya, I am already using samsung wire less chargers.

yeap... you have to "stick" the pad to the back of your phone so you'll need to have a casing to accommodate & hide the charging pad. Thickness wise I am not sure but most TPU cases shouldn't be a problem, soft rubber case works best because the charging pad is made up of charging coil and usually the profile of the back of the phone is slightly curvy so the rubber nature of the casing will soften the "bending" of the pad.

Charging speed wise you'll have to get charger that has quick charge /w double coils so when you place your phone upright, it will utilize both charging coils giving you 10w of charging power, place your phone sideway will utilize only 1 charging coil which gives you only 5w of charging power. If you have those rounded charger then it makes no difference cos you can only charge the phone lying down.

Maybe soon local set 128gb can go at $499, might be Fab time.

dont have $499 la but i just saw 128gb set going for $599 at bukit panjang plaza mi store?? 64gb for $499. poster said it was for 10-11 Nov singles day sales only, but it was still up today. don't know if the price still valid now, and didn't ask at the store so idk if there's a catch.

Anyone else see such good prices at their local mi stores? first time i see such a low price, even online during 11.11 also no such price :s22:

They don't service dead/stuck pixels. They say only repair if it a line across the screen. I am retutning my set to Lazada. Luckily have 15 days return policy. I got a MIX 2S white from Suntec already.

Yep, experienced it first hand today. It wasn't this bad when it was a Xiaomi service center.

Last time my MI note had the yellow screen problem. I sent it in, they changed on the spot for me.

Now it seems that the service has gone to hell.

Who hooted the $499 deal for mix 2S recently?

I just hooted one today after returning my Mix 2 to Lazada. at least i can check on the spot. Got a white 64GB. much nicer than black.
