yes I was looking at Sport Jazz Hybrid but only launch in Malaysia. :(
Will definitely go for it if I am still looking for a new replacement :s13::s13:

Maybe he can consider Honda shuttle hybrid too? Huge boot, spacious interior. Good FC too. Very practical car

Been checking with some pi. Most offered 10yr warranty on lithium battery. What is the fine print? Anyone can share?

What abt the scrap value at the end of 10yr compared to petrol version?

Yup. 2018 Fit Hybrid 1.5. 135 bhp.
Existing stock with the color I want - white.
1 bid guaranteed CoE without top up.

Can collect in less than 2 weeks, but I waited 1 more week for bodykit. PI help me settle. Chassis and engine number all written down in contract once you pay deposit. And deposit is simply for the CoE bid.

Default accessories:
- iRoad Q7 2-ch (if dun want, discount directly off car price)
- Chose own sports rim (they help me trade-in for 16" at new tyre price)
- Chose own color leather seats
- 5 year warranty or 130 km
- Pioneer HU with apple car play/android auto support
- Reverse sensor + camera
- Solar film, not the best, but max LTA approved level
- Floor mat (I expected this one would be fugly with huge logo of their company, but actually not bad)

Asked PI to arrange:
- 205/50/R16 black sports rims (so front wheels protrude out side ways a bit)
- 5 pc Mugen style bodykit (which offsets the protruding wheels) and slightly raised height
- Muffler tip
- LED scuff plate
- Auto mirror relay

Final damage is still more than 10k cheaper than the Jazz 1.5 RS as it has 10k VES rebate. After I buy, got other PI go below 70k, aiyah... but still bought at a pretty good price, so I never research whether that other PI can be trusted of not.

So far, best record for fuel economy is 37.5 km/l on 10% city, 90% expressway if I use econ mode and limit any hard-acceleration. B4 I exit expressway I actually hit more than 40 km/l. See already sebei song.

I also like to on the aircon while parking and waiting, even when engine auto-off, aircon still cold coz the lithium battery take over.

Read that the current generation of lithium batteries lasts 15 years, dunno true or not. But even the old generation of battery lasted 5 years. So I prepared to fork out 2k to replace the batteries 5 years down the road.

I know different people count differently, but to me 2k is more or less a fixed cost spread over the 10 years of my car life. $200 per year/$17 per month. I definitely save more than that per month on gas.
And 2k is fixed cost compared to the uncertain fluctuations of petrol.
Plus basically, I can safely hoot RON 95 without worry coz fuel grade makes even less of an impact.

How come i was quote close to 80k for hybrid version wo loan?

any advice for a first time car buyer?

before going down?
1) check your own current financial status? mostly spare cash will be for new car monthly payment, then work back for downpayment sum.
2) verify COE current standing
3) balance your expectations (needs VS must)
4) which car make (continental or non-continental cars)
5) understand the current package and sales offering of each car brand
6) even from the same car brand, different SE may also offer different package. require time spend for car shopping and demonstrate your negotiation skills lo..

can skip all of above, if cash is not an issue & time is an issue to you.** :s13::s13:

**rich man sia..

Can hybrid car last over 15yrs, is resale value higher than petrol car

as good as asking.. will there be tomorrow :s13::s13::s13:

whether can last anot? depends on the car owner & also car conditions at end of 10yrs lo.. that will contribute whether to renew another 5yrs lo :s12::s12:

Kosong version or the F package version?
What price did they quote if got min loan?

I cannot be sure, but I estimate the commission they earn from the loan is at most 1-3k.

What abt the scrap value at the end of 10yr compared to petrol version?

My watranty only 5 years, same as car.
Giving 10 years, my guess is either
1) they trust honda that the new batteries lasts 15 years
2) or they add the potential replacement cost to the price first

Are these the same PIs who quoted you 80k? As a reference, Honda Malaysia original battery is RM5,500. Exchange rate is SGD1 to RM3.

My OMV is almost at the limit for tier 1. Scrap value for the Hybrid is over 4.9k. Note it's also Cat B CoE rather than Cat A for the petrol version, so CoE is worth more.

Petrol 1.5 OMV is around 16-17k, current ones no VES rebate, so scrap value is around 8.5k.

3.5k more scrap value than the hybrid, but more expensive by 10k+ when you buy.

Ie, if you have 85k, if you buy 1.5RS, deregistering at the end of 10 years, you have 8.5k

If you get the 1.5 hybrid, you save 10k+ immediately, money also worth more now compared to future. At the end of 10 years, you have over 14k. Suay suay have to throw in 2k to replace battery, you still have over 12k left.
