Xiaomi Mi Max 3 - Come in!

Can't get TPG working on Mi Max 3, works on my old Mi Max 1.

Works on mi max 3 as I'm using one

Base on the current official China and Global roms. It is still at Level 4!

I suspect that the upcoming Pie roms (Beta or Stable) might be up to Level 5!

Actually anything above 3 is the same.

Anyway, I'm always on custom ROM so no problem with ARB. Just interested if it's still 3.

What's your problem?

Initially i only managed to get the data working. Then with some help from the Bro here, I managed to enable the VoLTE to the TPG sim. Since then, the TPG has been fully operational on the MMax3.

If you are unable to make calls, go to phone dialer.

Press code *#*#86583#*#* to enable VoLTE to work.

Or from *#*#4636#*#* and set up VoLTE provisioned.

Tried on both Sim Slots, only TPG SIM, set APN to TPG/TPG, chose TPG as Mobile Network.

Chrome just shows no internet and apps cannot get data even though it shows 4G on status bar.

Typed *#*#4636#*#* and ping Google, just shows Fail(2) and HTTP Client Test: Fail: IOException.

Dunno what I'm doing wrong, emailed TPG for help too.

4636 works as a testing code, try it out.
86583 is just for VoLTE, the problem is that I can't even get Internet let alone voice call.

Yup. The TPG SIM card works fine on my old Mi Max 1, just no internet on MMax 3.

Even tried with 1 SIM card only, default data/call setting is auto set to TPG. Mobile data on, still bo Internet.

On global rom? Its strange that yours doesn't work since we are on the same phone. Mine's even an export set as well. Yours has the 4g icon and signal bars displayed?

EU weekly ROM but shouldn't make much of a difference since Circles Line SIM works fine.

Yeah 4G 4 bars VoLTE icons there, just no Internet.

Edit: Weird thing is that I can make phone call and it works, used my home landline and got audio.

Appeared on my Mi Max 3 now as well! Global rom!

My Mi Max 3 (official Global ROM) has been updated to Android 9 successfully.

Quick quick go press that "Check for update" button now or download the Recovery rom to update manually!!

You have volte enabled as well! Are you using tpg SIM card?
