Normal operation, all use berets. Only Parade, Army used berets while Air Force & Navy still use Peak Cap.

Depend on your vocation. For example, NPCO now wear Jockey Cap compare to Peak Cap in the past. Other vocations already use berets since the past like SOC.


As for your pictures, I not sure about the changes. Normally Senior Officer don't wear Peak Cap in uniform and walk around inside Police Building. Maybe learn from SAF, save cost and it is convenient to bring headdress around (inside their bag or pocket). And I agree with you that full uniform for beret and bush jacket is kinda weird.
