Best to head down and take a look 1st. Even the EON 43 has 3 HDMI port whereas my 43" Mi TV 4S only has 2.

Sent from Xiaomi MI 9T PRO using GAGT

The EON 43" only 768p nia. I rather take your tv with 2hdmi ports but 4K res. Lol

for 43" tv, at the normal viewing distance of 2-3 meters, most people, even with 6/6 vision, can't tell the difference between 720p and 1080p, not to mention 4k.

whether one is going for a TV with non-android or android platform will depend on one's preference. Some prefer TV with android platform because they are constantly seeking new and more exciting programs that will change over time.

From the sketchy data of Prism, it would appear that Prism+ is better than MiTV in terms of the price and quality. Having an IPS panel is a plus. It even said it is having HDR. Really, one would have to look closely at the detail specification which is not available. Then one would have to know what components were used and how is the design and layouts; also, if the spares are easily available and are they cheap to own etc etc

I will pass and wait for some technical owners to give a review.

Too many issues with Android TV on MITV, unless you get the European version which no one is importing here. So just get cheap stick or Mibox, save yourself a lot of problems and can get 4K, and certified Netflix.

Wonder if can mod the mi TV android to universal root version lol.

Price wise mi TV cheaper . 43 inch ard 300 bucks? Prism how to fight with this price point?
Unless prism TV quality is really justified for that extra 100+ bucks.
Guess need more reviews.

Why do you want the root version? No real benefits in reality.

Just get a Mi Box S if you need Netflix HD/UHD or Chromecast or Youtube 4k or some other apps which requires Google Play Services. Or Amazon FireTV stick 4k if your main goal is Netflix 4k.

If not then Mi TV should be good enough for Netflix SD, DLNA Cast, YouTube 1080p, and many apps.

I do not have Mi TV but I have a cheap modded China Mobile IPTV box with 1GB/8GB S905L from Taobao for about S$20, no Google, no Root, but I can use it pretty much for all the Chinese Entertainment apps I need. It is even lower end than lower end Mi TV. (It does have good dual band WiFi and 100M Ethernet and two USB 2.0 ports).

If Prism is more expensive, then there isn't much selling point

So i changed the T-con board on my mi tv3.

But still flickering

This sort of flickering is usually caused by lose wires and bad connections. it could also be due to bad GPU in the T-Con Board. Try to unplug and plug back the connectors and use contact cleaner to clean each plug and contact and see that will fix the flicker.. if not heated up the GPU with a blower might know if there is bad connection in the GPU connection.. but since you have changed the T-Con board, not sure this heating up will work.

Bought a 43" set from Minihelper. Looks like it's a Russian set but there's an issue with my remote controller not working. Power button doesn't work, cannot do the "hold the 2 home buttons" initial pairing either.

- Remote d-pad works in the Android recovery mode (hold middle button and back during power on) but no other buttons work in that mode.

- My phone can detect the TV and remote with Bluetooth but the TV and remote can't seem to detect each other.

- Used the Android TV Remote app and a mouse to use my phone as a remote, trying to pair the remote via the Settings also doesn't work.

So unlucky to kena a lemon set meh? :(
