Bought the 55" Global version from Lazada on 12.12 for $479, TV finally arrived today. Russia model as most others here have gotten. So far so good, only the digital channel searching turned up no channels. This is the latest 4S suppose to have DTV tuner built in.

When i search for channels, should i choose "Antenna" or "Cable"? Both turns up no channels though. Will reach out to the seller for help.

Another thing i notice is that the patchwall keeps saying "Internet not connected" - could be because it is a Russia set (geo-block) as YouTube, etc works fine.

Anyone else got their set yet?

How do I switch audio track for Channel U? And how to enable srt subtitles when playing movie from thumbdrv?

Yes very difficult way to change track and subtitle as xiaomi using google live tv over which is not very user friendly

Correct me if I am wrong, even with built-in DVBT2 tuner, you still need an external antenna to work, same as any local TV set with built-in DVBT2.

Been reading through last night, seems like bro @jtec14 is right, internal DTV tuner doesn't mean no need antenna, still needs!

After i plugged in the USB antenna all the channels appeared and they gave the DTV antenna FOC so all good. Would have preferred a 'cleaner' install tho.

Taobao is china set with china OS, language in Chinese until modified and no Play Store / Google apps. Can sideload APK though but that's troublesome for me so i went with the Global version.

Yes MU TV Store. PM them and ask for the courier's phone number. I called and 'chased' him and he delivered the day after i called. Just tell him your address and he will tell you how many slots down you are in his delivery list.

Actually i just checked my chat - the courier's number is 9 6 seven nine 6 5 five 9. Let them know you bought the Mi TV from Lazada and they can advise.

The TV is Android TV 9. Even the Global (Android) sets come with Patchwall.

P.P.S. Figuring out why my Netflix doesn't display 4k titles..... I am playing through Mi Box S, have a 1Gb connection, and a 4k TV, but still only playing in HD (1080p). YouTube is OK for 4k videos though.

Btw, Global Android 9 sets also no Netflix for Mi TV. Just take note. You will need another streaming box (Nvidia Shield, Mi Box S, etc) as i understand Mi did not 'buy the license' from Netflix or something like that.

FYI you can install AIDA64 or CPUZ to identify the CPU, to see whether it is quad core Arm Cortex A55 or A53.

A55 is newer than A53 but in reality the difference is not that big for Mi TV.

Mmm will check mine tonight too but mine's 55" not sure if there's any difference. My YouTube shows as playing in 4k though.

Btw i have 3 ports on the Mi 55".

HDMI 1 (normal)
HDMI 2 (ARC)
HDMI 3 (normal)

I plugged my Mi Box S into HDMI 2 (ARC). Is this correct? Any difference whether i use an ARC or non-ARC HDMI port?

Yes, do not look at the screen resolution from the app. Only look at the CPU info and Android info.

If it is Patchwall and seller installed YouTube, it may not work well. You can use alternative apps like Smart YouTube, or an old version of YouTube TV version.
