Anyone use the services of CMC Markets?

As above...

I have been trading with them since August 2019 and have experienced glitches over the months.

I will be documenting my experience trading with them from today onward. Please also share your trading experience with them too.

3 Jan 2019- Unable to close existing AUD/UDS trade with an error message "off quotes." As of writing (2120hrs, 3 Jan), profits are slipping away.

update: trade closed at 1046pm. Price retraced against me but still manged to close with profit.

Quite surprising though – I have been using them for the last 3 to 4 years and hardly have any problem. I found a platform quite stable and I also notice that they are quite generous with information and The platform provides adequate technical tools - unlike another popular one which has a propensity of removing various supporting tools without any notice whatsoever.

I using mt4... they said they are new on this.. I told them I used a few brokers also with mt4 no problem. MT4 is in the market for so long le, how come only they got problems leh?

lol.. u using mt4 on a broker who spends so much money and time on their inhouse platform.. naturally its gonna suck

mt4 in market so long doesnt mean they have always been offering it right from the start, maybe only started offering it few years back (and started integrating mt4 with their system) since they have their own in house platform. And since they have their in house platform, naturally they are going to spend more time upgrading and maintaining it compared to mt4.

better find another broker that doesn't have any in house platform and purely only offers mt4 or mt5

The criteria is too difficult.

9. To be eligible to receive the “Refer a friend” bonus the New Customer must open an Account with CMC Markets using the unique link contained in the Email during the Offer Period, or as otherwise agreed by CMC Markets, and:
(a) fund the account with a minimum initial amount of SG$1,000 (or the Account Currency equivalent); and
(b) place trades on the account with a minimum aggregate turnover of US$500,000 in share CFDs (excluding US Shares) or US$2,000,000 across all CFD classes, within three months of the account being opened (the “Minimum Account Criteria”).

mt4 has been on market for many years and is a market leader... most forex brokers have been providing it. If no good and no market demand, why so many brokers providing it? Why are so many users using it?

Yes, they can have their own proprietary platform and spent lots of money on it. Still does not justify for falling short on standard for other platform they provide. If they can't maintain it properly, then don't provide it. This kind of glitches are unacceptable which resulted in financial loss to the clients. So clients must bear the loss for a company's incompetency and error?

or split money between 2 different broker, 1 down still can use the other 1 to hedge for emergency.

whole day today on icmarket and oanda, no problem or disconnection yet.

bro I still have existing position with CMC... once I exit these trades will switch le...

Now the new position is day trading only.. so to be safe I try not to keep overnight one.. if not like last time..
