The 4G33 is 36K BTU capacity.

hey guys!

looking for a hdb 4room bto system 4 aircon - plan to get mitsubishi starmex.

for me, i am a light user. kitchen still not sure if want open or closed, but kitchen no cold air is fine with me. based on what i read, the sweet spot is 18k living, and 9k for the other 3 bedrooms.

asked for quote from Livecool & JK Aircon so far, and they quoted me this:

MXY4G33VA2, MSXYFN10VE X3, MSXYFN18VE (9/9/9/18)

1) however, understand that 4G33VA2 is only about 22k btu. would that mean i can't turn on my living room + bedroom one at the same time?

2) lastly, anyone got experience with livecool or jk aircon before? :o

Quite a substantial savings.

But can they be trusted? This is the risk you have to take.

I read the Google reviews. Quite a number of good reviews but they were from single reviewers.

I rather pay more and go with the bigger supplier.

Most air conditioner repairs cost between $164 and $549, with most homeowners reporting that they spend $356 on average. Prices for this project vary greatly by company. The cost per hour can be anywhere from $35 to $200. Keep in mind that many contractors calculate rates based on the job, and not hourly labor.

Also - Heating and cooling professionals say that even if you do not suspect that your air conditioning unit has problems, you need to have it serviced and inspected at least 2 - 3 every year.

Hi anyone had an europace portable aircon and start having loud screeching sound once the compressor starts generating? My parts warranty is over but I still have the 5years compressor warranty so I'm wondering if anyone sent for repair before?

Was it normally making that kind of noise previously?

This is 1 of the cons of having a portable aircon. Noise, space and heat.

Honestly is not about the company
The guys who do the installation really plays a major role on how expert are them.
Like gain city , they will employ uncles with essential skill sets .

Some private or self setup company can claim they have more skillful uncles

But big company provide better secure warrantly

Is gaincity trustable to get from them?

They are better than other chain stores like best or courts since they do not outsource their installation. However if you have the time to shop around, you can probably find smaller aircon companies who can offer same product and installation standards at a better price. End result is more dependant on the person who installs it rather than the company.

System 2

Hi guys, I did some comparisons between Daikin iSmile and Mitsubishi Starmex System 2.

Based on specifications, it seems that Mitsubishi only utilizes 4.1kW out of the 4.5kW rated capacity of it's condenser when both indoor units are in operation. Whereas, Daikin is able to maximize the rated capacity of it's condenser at 4.8kW.

Questions
1) Since the price quoted for Daikin is just $100 more than Mitsubishi, is it worth getting Daikin instead? (4.8 vs 4.1 kW)

2) Understand it's easy to remove Mitsubishi's blower wheel for DIY cleaning, is it the same for Daikin? (I DIY clean my existing Panasonic unit and the blower wheel removal process seems to be similar to Mitsubishi)

Why do you have different FCU for the same room size?

You are sharp. I didn't notice that.

I presume the other room is much bigger.

Anyway, as long the outdoor compressor can support the aggregate BTU of the indoor FCU, then it shouldn't be a big concern.

Main criteria should be on the price, ease of maintenance, cost of repair, availability of parts, etc.
