How badly do you guys think tech stocks will be hit relative to the market as a whole by end of Q2?

i.e Spread between NASDAQ100 vs SPY?

Not the time yet.

Wait for at least some stabilisation Or accumulation of sorts.

Don’t catch a falling knife, Low might be lower.

Like seriously, don’t bother about trying to catch the bottom, but rather be willing to buy higher once the trend change.

That way you would be very much safer.

The wide Wild swings and volatility are anything but stabilisation.

The wise men would be most willing to average up on a trend change and not average down because you would never know where the bottom is.

From an Edmw troll. I’m not to be taken seriously.

Although market now not stable, anyone use this opportunity to average down?

Thanks, wanted to get some views. Noticed that pre-market numbers don't look good too.

My last purchase of STI ETF was 2.53.
Plan to continue averaging down. Maybe I should go all-in at STI 2,000.

If STI drop below 2,000, then start using CPF-SA..... :D

cash, i try not to keep too much, unless i start liquidating SSB, bonds, bond ETF, gold, magic cards. using CPF OA is fine for me, since its a longer time horizon and I got no interest in buying another property :s13:

can use CPF SA to buy STI ETF ?

need to buy cpf-sa approved unit trusts :s13:

Everybody understands that there will be economic fallout from the virus. This much is certain with the shutdowns and all. What is uncertain\speculative at the moment are the severity of the fallout.

The next solid source of information that will give us clarification will be the upcoming corporate earnings in Apr. I personally will not take up any more long term positions until then.

Maybe even Q1 2020 will not be the full effect. Might have to see Q2/Q3 results

Since most here are bearish, I am looking to go long on the short covering / relief rally before going short again for the next leg down. :s22:

What a busy weekend it was...
I'm trying to list the 2nd and 3rd order effects of both the coronavirus and oil shocks in qualitative terms and decide how I am going to go into the market again after listing out the effects.

Also coming up with the list of stocks to keep watch and fine tune as the 1st research is completed.

Hopefully, I can complete the above tasks in 2 weeks...
