Everytime I watch that scene, I ask why US don't want to use a big bullet proof large shield when they step out of that boat? First 3 ppl hold the shield for the group.

And why they don't want land at night when visibility is poor...

Why did the US even bother to fight another continent's war?

Still waiting for Steven Speilberg Masters of the Air, based on 8th Air Force. My favorite bomber B17 will be in it

actually why can’t they arti that place before they do the beach assault? i remember they could do it for hacksaw ridge

They did naval bombardment prior to the beach landing, but they did not plan adequately.. :(

but they also said it was the most realistic portrayal of what actually happens in war they have ever seen.
it was so realistic many left the cinema during these scenes because it reminded them of what actually happened to them.

Yup, it's the first really realistic war scene in movies. I remembered I really kenna stunned when watching it.
