How to Re-install Play Store on China ROM

We have a Note 8 china ROM with google services installed via GetApps chinese google installer.

Its play store was uninstalled by mistake and some google apps like calendar dont work anymore.

I tried re-installing using google installer but it'll get stuck at installation of google play services.

Any assistance appreciated. Thanks


UPDATE: Solved easily. Simply manually uninstalled google play services, then re-run the chinese google installer.

Was intending to try that but was afraid sideloading in this manner may interfere with the chinese google installer and make things worse. Also google play may not get auto updated. So thought to check with you guys first.

Absolutely no problems at all

China ROMS with sideloaded GApps installer means no safetynet so those banking apps, google pay, etc will not be able to work?

Bank apps, Singpass no problem. My family members use theirs daily for school/work.

These are the only issues if you need them:

- Foodpanda Location fix: phone settings -> location -> GPS only. After fpanda login, can re-enable high accuracy location.
- Netflix: cannot install
- Google pay: cannot setup

There may be more details in another thread (pls search)

Google Pay cannot set up cos dun have NFC.

Just got my Mi 10 Ultra 12/256 on China MIUI 12.

So far i don't see any issues with Google stuffs, GPay Singapore, singpass, tracetogether, banking, netflix (APK), alexa (APL) all can setup and use.

Only Google Location History not working..

Anyone has any idea how to get Google Location History working on MIUI 12 China ROM?

where to get the Chinese google installer? My Mi 8 also facing the same problem. Now all google services cannot be used including chrome, mail etc. Even download aurora apk to replace playstore also don't work.

I am have issues with tracetogether app, the app seems working fine but says I need to have updated google play services when QR scanning was activated. Does anyone with Xiaomi set running China ROM has this issue?

I am running Mi8 on China Rom MIUI12 with BL locked.

Try this. It helps in my case. Running mi max 3 with China rom miui 12.google play services error keeps happening after I factory reset the phone and reinstall miui 12.

When I factory reset, ot just went directly ti miui 12. No downloads.

Also when factory reset need to reinstall google store and play services again?

Try this and delete all Google play services and play store apps before using this. It worked for me.

Yes. Need to reinstall Google store and play services again if u do a factory reset of the phone. As for miui 12,if u had upgraded before the factory reset, there is no need to re download miui 12..

Hmm, looks like it did. Still need to try a safe entry QR to make sure it work.
If this works, don't have to worry about queue to get tokens.

Have not tried it yet but at least do not see the error msg again.

I have the token and found that to be exceeding simple and useful. This app is as back up for those small shops that do not have scanners for the tokens. Cheers.
