Sorry, what I meant was, is there any special extra steps needed compared to the Singapore version?

First you need to set language to English then there's an option to not install (uncheck) the Korean bloatwares. But the Kt telecom app remains. The rest will be straightforward

N20 series isnt doing well :)

Sales of Samsung Electronics’ Galaxy Note20 series seem lower than expected, TheElec has learned.

Samsung Mobile only produced around 70% of what it planned to produced for the month of October, people familiar with the matter said.

Samsung aimed to produce just short of 900,000 units of the Note20 series in October but only manufactured around 600,000 units, the sources said.

The production ratio between the standard Galaxy Note20 and the Galaxy Note20 Ultra was around one to two, they said.

The drop in production rate was worst for the Note20 compared to the Note20 Ultra.

The Galaxy Note20 series began official sales in August 21.

Samsung mobile saw operating profits of 4.45 trillion won in the third quarter, over 50% higher than last year in the same time period.

It seems it saw stronger sales in its mid-tier line-up compared to flagship smartphones in the quarter.

Samsung said its increase profitability was due to cost restructuring and efficient spending on marketing.

The company is planning to began production of the Galaxy S21 series next month. Samsung is preparing for initial batch of 2 million units for next year.

The company was also planning to launch a foldable smartphone at a lower price point than it is offering now next year.

It will be strange if the flagship phones have higher sales volume than the mid tier model.

Take example for iphone, usually the hottest phone is the one without the pro or pro max model.

That is also why China top 4 phone manufacturers other than Huawei, is focusing on the mid-tier phone world wide.

In future, we may only see Samsung, iPhone and Huawei sell the 'high end' flagship phone, where the rest will be launching 'mid tier' flagship phone.

No, flagship model always have a lower sales volume.

That is why a lot of companies now focus on mid tier phones.

After 2 weeks with My Note 20 ultra SD version, I can consistently get around 6 to 6.5 hrs of screen on time. I am running dual sim and all the time 4G. I won't connect to Wi-Fi at all. Stand by drain on mobile data is exceptional with SD sets. Like 0.5% per hour.

Phone also runs way cooler for my day to day things like news, emails, whatsapp and YouTube. I don't play games.

All in all I guess it's a very nice experience and even though I lost around 300 plus selling my month old exynos.

Another thing good about Samsung phones is that there's no earpiece hole.

Its just one tiny slit at the top of the phone. So there's no dust visible to the eye.

I'm also running my phone on 60Hz and on 4G. Medium power saver. Getting 7Hrs avg SOT on exynos N20U.

Will keep this N20U as spare phone to watch tvb dramas, and my iPhone 12PM as main.

used to own exynos note 10+ with standby drain of 1% per 2.5h, probably due to the fingerprint scanner running 24/7
after disabled the bloatwares

Using normal apps, email, social media, YouTube, etc. won't make my phone as warm as when using camera. Location setting in camera is ON. And camera also will consume the most % of battery drain in comparison to other app with the same duration. My set is exynos btw.

Last time my exynos set use to drain battery like water flowing even for normal use like emails, news and whatsapp.. I did all I can like freezing almost all the apps still don't see any positive improvements. Worst is the stand by battery drain. Like 2% per hour.

With my SD set, I didn't freeze anything at all. Just start to install and use the apps as per normal.

Can SD set have the same Samsung keyboard like SG exynos version? Not the weird HK/TW/CN keyboard keys? Don't want to use third party keyboard like Google, etc. Any workaround?

Nope the keyboard is different on HK sets. Guess its due to the preloaded software and other stuff..
