what about Mitsu Heavy industry? saw their models also 5 ticks and cheaper than ME starmex
take note they are 2 different company MHI & ME

u can scroll back the posts, some have bad encounter which lasts them for 5 years or so.....these can also be unlucky batches.

i didn't choose MHI due to reliability and easy DIY cleaning.

I kena one which quote cheap but aftersales F up. I bought their starmex. Endup first week gas leak. Called them thrice to come down to solve since their guys can't detect during first and second trip.

Wow boss scolded me somemore. Dude it's under 1 year warranty, scold me for what.

Avoid them thereafter.

Both are equally good, replacement parts can be easily find in the market. We buy ME cause we used them for over 15 years without any issue. While daikin is widely used in the industrial/commercial building and the app connection fit the needs of current users.

Hardly see any discounts from ME, daikin got different promos every month.
The price different is always around $200.

For ME system 3, i was advised to get MXY4G33VA2+ 3Xmsxyfn10Ve.

Currently i still choosing between these 2 brands.....hardly find any bad reviews for daikin....
i ask few tech, their reply always the same.....both are equally good for reliability, servicing and maintenance.

thank you very much!

I used MHI for 9+ years before the compressor died. Anyway, the aircon had served me well.

+ Good value
+ Motorised up down left right for wind vane

- Expensive to repair. 3rd party wouldn't dare to replace compressor
- Not easy to clean and maintain

After that, I switch to ME. ME has the opposite points of the above. I value the maintenance and repair more.

For a new air cond system, if there is a gas leak in the installation, how long it takes for a user to discover such issue. Assume it is used daily for 5 to 6 hours. Thks.

How was the leak repaired eventually? Was the piping changed? What causes the leak?

Depend on how big the leak is .. Can be a few hours to a few years.

Nothing to do with usage.

I scolded the boss, and vow to take actions against their black shady business tactics. Brand new and Less than 7 days want to BS me. say all 3 trips and found nothing. I might not be air-con trained but I on the aircon on 23 degrees but its blowing out just wind, you mean starmex is supposed to be like that meh? come on.

so I told them if they can't do the job, its still under Mitsubishi warranty. I will call them up and report on them. so boss got another lady to pacify me.say will send their chief Tech down . whatever la, sent your ceo down better.

sendup the tech ask me who installed for me. I told him that 2 guys. he said long ago told boss to sack them already. a lot of complaints whenever that 2 guys install for people. but boss want to use cheap labour. so continue to keep the 2.

he detect pipe leaked from connector. endup teardown and redo. Seriously is a waste of time man. cannot even do things properly.
