Hi, may I ask, when choosing Day or GTC, there are check boxes below...
1) what is the difference between "Fill/trigger outside RTH" and "Allow pre-open" ? Isn't both also outside RTH?
2) what is "Ignore open auction"? On ibkr website, it says: ignore the opening auction which takes place at the open. So at what point will the order be executable?

1) outside RTH means pre-open hr + after hours. allow pre-open means pre-open only.

2)this a bit harder to explain. I let other ppl do it..

Trying to wrap my head around Margo interest calculation, say borrow usd $10k at interest of 1.59%, each day I have to pay how much interest and daily compounding the interest amount?

the warning duration depends on your exposure. they have the rights to immediate liquidation.

are you sure you should be trading margin when you are looking at info for pre-market and after hour info?

Margin cost while low in ibkr it will still burn a hole. Please use ibkr margin calculator to get an estimated cost.

Hi Guys,

Just opened an account and i understand there is a 10 bucks monthly fee if there is less than 100k in stocks or less than 10 bucks of comms generated. Seems like first 3 months is free? But what happens after if account is inactive and have no money inside (i only did a test deposit of $10)? Will they disable the account and can only enabled after all missed monthly payments is made before you can use the account again?

Thanks.
if u don't have enough money to fund your account, u will be booted from it.

meaning, they will sell off the amount of securities that you have to cover the repayment of whatever fees that u are subscribed to them on.

as an ultra low-cost broker, i can understand why they enforce this tightly. afterall, we benefit tremendously from their fees and their reach to international markets which makes them unique.

Took part in IBKR share lending, how do I keep track of the lending and profit?
go to the report section and look at the stocks' yield, there would be 3 relevant rows that you can look at.

click on it and it will expand to give u a detailed report of the amount loaned out, the dates, the amount you receive for participation.

I verified that i send to the right virtual account # (at Citibank), and swift code: CITISGSXXX. I think i should have done a FAST Transfer, instead of an overseas tele transfer.

I contacted OCBC and OCBC said that the TT has been sent successfully. However, still didnt get to see the money.

Thanks for assurance. may i ask how long did you take for the refund to come back?

hello bro
the TT is successful means there no refund money coming back to you from OCBC. its gone to the correct recipient.

I think u might want to ignore the open auction if you are putting in a stop order as it will get hit easily when throw to the floor

How much can you really make loaning out the shares per annum after deducting all the admin cost?
You definately make more income on long term investment by selling call option if you know what you are doing.

What admin cost?

It depends on what shares you hold and the demand for it.

Diff shares got different interest. And not all shares are in demand to be loaned out.
