Just now I tried using Google pay at McDonald's, but my samsung phone keep vibrating and payment failed.

Is it must set Google pay as default for contactless payment? My default now is samsung pay.

Yes, I often switch to Google pay as default whenever i uses Google pay. Otherwise I'll meet similar scenario at times. At times it'll say try not to shake. Something liddat. Which I didn't even shake. After switching to Google pay everything works fine again

That's the only grip I have with the SG version Google Pay. It's not as intuitive as Samsung Pay where you can paywave it even without being the default nfc payment app.

Samsung Pay allows u to paywave without being the default app. Its not like Google Pay where it will vibrate and return error message and not allow u to paywave.

Samsung Pay allows u to paywave without being the default app. Its not like Google Pay where it will vibrate and return error message and not allow u to paywave.

Just select "tap and pay with open app".

Just select "tap and pay with open app".

Then you're OK. At least for me and peppermint we encounter this issue, which the only way to solve it is to select gpay as the default app else it always jiggles and return the error during paywave. After I set it as default immediately can use gpay.
