It's the rtx..removed it and ran w uv overclock. No issue.

I downloaded the medium. It doesn't fill fullscreen even though I chose 3440x1440.not really impressed w the gfx ....I'll try again tomorrow

I don't know if it is a known issue, but it seems the moment you UV and/or OC the card, it tends to be unstable when RT is enabled. I remember reading some forums out there where they a lot of people mentioned that 3D Mark Port Royale will crash when the card is UV and/or OC.

Is cyberpunk (the bugs aside) the game with the most requirement now? lol

I think Microsoft Flight Simulator should be the most demanding. Actually its a combination of demanding and poor optimization in my opinion. It is clearly very CPU bound because it does't utilize anything more than 4 cores if I am not mistaken.

Hi,

For Nitro+ Sapphire 6800XT I what mode should I use? Performance(default) or Silent? Any trades off?

Thanks.

Go with the performance BIOS. The silent mode basically cuts the power limit and slows the fans down. You lose performance as a result, but the card runs cooler by default.

I left the BIOS and performance mode, then went ahead to undervolt and overclock the card.

Enabling RT for RX 6000 series would probably result in CTD, or freezes. I was able to play Metro Exodus with RT enabled occasionally, though most of the time, it'd crash within mins, sometimes failing to start game. It does look nice (though I can live without it), haven't tried it on Control yet though...gonna check if I'd bought the game (bought so many, I honestly don't remember), but I believe I did.

Radeon™ Software Adrenalin 2020 Edition 21.2.1

Fixed Issues

  • Metro Exodus™ may experience intermittent application crashes with DirectX® Raytracing enabled.

The newest driver seems to have fixed RT issue with Metro Exodus, you can try playing that game again.

Says nothing about Control. Still some Known Issues.
