Hi, just a quick question...
For the Reference Check, did they call up ur current employer? Or just collating details?

I listed down a few referees when i submitted my initial application.. in the recent email they just needed me to confirm the contact details of my most recent employer that i worked with.
I guess they might probably call/email your employers to just do a check on you?
I just wonder if they do get back to us soon, when do we start working cos it stated on the website for trained teachers; 28 December or April. Not sure if there's a delay or anything tho.

Ah I see, so that means I will have to inform my employer that I shall be leaving soon and to expect a call/email from MK. Cos I haven't said anything yet, as nothing is confirm from MK side as well...

Should be April I guess, cos I did state my starting period as April. I do have to serve my notice period as well..

How to know if MOE kindergarten reject my application?

I had applied for MK Educator post on 11 Nov 2020 and received email invitation for interview on 10 Dec. My interview was held on 15 Dec and by 18 Dec I received and email to make appointment for medical examination & requested for 2 superiors from my previous employment as character reference. I went for medical examination on 29 Dec. 5 Jan 2021 an email pertaining my date of availability and I responded promptly. By 14 Jan. I was very anxious and decided to email the HR officer and asked about my status. Reason being, I was serving my 3 months notice and had to prepare a safety net should my application got rejected. On 18 Jan, HR wanted to verify my very first role in the ECCE industry dated all the way to 2003/2004. Last email received from HR was on 26 Jan requested for my CPF statement for Y2020.

I'm left with 2 weeks of my notice period and have yet to secure a job. Not sure if I should wait or just find other jobs. Judging from my timeline and ding-dong-ing emails, my gut feel tells me that I'm not successful.

Anyone receives any news. Will they call or email us of the outcome ! My status still the same ! Application submitted !

I guess I will only know during the signing. But it should be of a reasonable distance..
