just now stopped at the give way bus for sbs bus and kenna honked and flashed by the rear car. Huh? now no need to give way is it? will not get fined??

Depends if you are referring to the dedicated stop line for bus to come out from bus stop. Just a matter of courtesy to give way to buses regardless.

Otherwise, don't need to bother what the rear is doing.

Screw the rear driver la... As long as there's a dedicated give way to bus mark (demarcated by the large arrow and dotted stop line), it's mandatory to stop and give way to bus exiting

It is an offence if you do not stop at a mandatory give way to bus sign.

driving have to be thick skin and patient. A lot of driver are impatient. Similarly, i also encounter others, green light once lit, they start to honk. left turn arrow lit also honk. turn right red arrow also honk. Seems like they only buy car with honk and it didn’t come with complimentary signal lights as you will see them weave in and out of traffic after the traffic lights

The law is u need to give way, so screw the honker.
For me, if i see bus still has its blinkers on i maintain the lane.
If its right arrow is lit, prepare to stop b4 box else switch lanes.
But nowadays, most bus drivers use common sense and dun simply chiong out. They wait for car to stop b4 exiting.
Caution, if u wan to stop, dun e-brake. Saw an accident where lorry e-brake and rear car slammed into it.

practice the same as split road, tap brake and slow down before give way line, motorist behind should be aware, provided they are not on their phone.

Issue is some people too zealous... fast and yet can't clear the box so e-brake, they should just pass and let the car behind stop instead. That's why this mandatory give way to bus thing is really a troublemaker.

Granted there are some bus drivers who use brains too, don't signal and accelerate out, there are some who just do that, causing cars to abruptly come to a stop or swerve.
