Not the first time or first one. Rafi Ali father used to have a briyani stall in Tg Pagar.
Lots of former players had stalls/restaurants
Syed Mutalib and Malek Awab to name a few.
bashir Khan has a restaurant in Kandahar Street

Going tomorrow. Hope got prawn briyani :(
speaking of more unusual briyanis i tried the cheap fish briyani @ old kallang airpork FC found it a real hidden gem as fish was fresh, fried and rice was really nicely done and all for like $4 seems like killer deal IMHO ;)

If u have the chance, try this dish call Mandi rice.

Looks very similar to briyani. Got a stall at Ayer raja hawker centre.

This one I ate, the mutton is very much more tender than from stalls selling briyani. The rice used is basmati and is plump and moist too. Many briyani, the rice very dry.

My goto for Mutton Mandi is ard Eunos! Always sold out within 3-4hrs!

My secret place. Shhhhhhiiii......
