Lol. So in the end, you still need to go down to the store. Anyway, M1 closed down a lot of physical stores. So you don't get a lot of self collection options.Yes, I'd definitely go to the M1 shop to ask for assistance if no COVID19. I tried their signup page yet again, passed the number selection by selecting a $88 number which I don't even need(free fixed voice service without free number selection, good job!), then blocked by an "delivery method" which only has "self collect at M1 outlet" option. If I choose self collect, I can only collect from 3 outlets which are all far from me. This is so weird, someone from M1 need to do the ONT installation for me after I signup right? why need me to self collect?
So I finally gave up and went to myrepublic signup page. 10min all done no issues.
Did you try with another device? Also try restarting your router/ONT as well.Very strange. I have a 500mbps plan. My download is 480mbps via wireless but upload is only 60mbps. Wtf! Is this issue at m1?
Yes I read in their T&C the cso is right. But 500mbps they don't give router right? You need to top up, which is not worth it. You can get a Linksys EA8100 on carousel for $15. Buy 2 of them and set them up as a wireless repeater mesh, and you are good to go.I just call M1 hotline, CSO told me the Router replacement program is only for 1gbps, not for 500mbps. Is this true?
Anybody who re connect m1 500mbps recently can confirm this?

yes, get your NRIC ready and go to the m1 shop to get a queue number and wait for your turn to talk to CSO and sign up. 4 years ago, I recontracted with M1 online and still has to go to the shop to complete the contract by signing on it. you will receive a lousy asus router unless you want to pay money to get an appropriate router.
I was so exasperated with VQ's service and constant outages that I never looked back after moving to M1. It was the cheapest of the big 3 ISP then, but at least I don't face that much issue every year as compared to VQ.the reason that I wanted to switch from viewQwest to M1 was this. (ispspeedindex.netflix.net/country/singapore/)
Though I gave up on M1 I still suspect maybe it's good.
Not true for M1 vs Starhub.I will say the three major telcos are doing pretty well in terms of dealing with the WFH/HBL in the ** period.
Covid-19 is unprecedented. Dropping the bandwidth even to 500Mbps is still very respectable performance (I myself did not encounter that with my Singtel 1Gbps plan). You can see Google reduced YouTube quality from 4k/1080p to 480p in quite some areas because of Covid peak period.

We did comparison of M1 and SH. Same floor, same equipment, just different unit on same floor. The different is clear even without any measurement thru those speed test sites.
The information looks very out of date...the reason that I wanted to switch from viewQwest to M1 was this. (ispspeedindex.netflix.net/country/singapore/)

It's actually not outdate, Last Updated: April 2021. some details how they derive the ranking: ispspeedindex.netflix.net/about. They mention they'll include the ISP in the comparison if user population of that ISP is larger than 1%.The information looks very out of date...
It talks about singtel dsl - do they even still have dsl service?
It also mentions a rate of 3.6mbps, which is much lower than you'd ever get these days.
