Seems like need many electricity to lit up many pixels. Any expert knows?

Or what's the average electric bill per month/year?

i don't mean to sound punny but it'll be better to buy a smart plug monitor to monitor the electrical consumption of your monitor and compare it with your tv.

They're exactly the same thing. So unless the panel is different technology or size, the consumption will be similar. :vijayadmin:

The main contributor to household electricity consumption is air conditioner and refrigerator, and gaming/mining desktop.

Negligible amount, more concern of the longevity of the monitor in case need replacement.

Negligible amount, more concern of the longevity of the monitor in case need replacement.
I wonder if is 4K resolution monitor, will it make any difference?

4k yes i think it would. Just turn down contrast and brightness. U can compare power consumption values of the different monitor.

Depends on how big is the monitor screen size. The most common largest monitor screen size is 34". Most home TVs are larger than that. Assuming both screen types are same resolution, TV will still consume more electricity.
