Now that i see the spec sheet properly, it seems not much improvements compared even the normal mi 11

Screen and camera is worse, in exchange for SD888+ and faster charging. Unless you really bothered by the hole punch selfie camera, but otherwise CUP will probably improve over the next few years and may even appear in mi 12
Rumored mi 12 series will still be punch hole selfie.

mi 12 to be another flip prata, 换汤不换药, then charge another $1000 for the kumgong to “upgrade” 😂

lei jun got mentioned the yield rate for the screen is very low, cost twice of normal flexible amoled. Also only FHD+, while mi 11 already QHD.

Xiaomi now launch new technologies in low sale volume phone model first. Like NVMe ssd in black shark 4, liquid lens in mi fold.

you see this is the strategy, they will not put all the best features in one phone, they purposely leave some short fall so some consumers get confused anyhow buy, regret, buy again, launch, regret, buy again.... this cycle will repeat over and over while the phone maker are laughing all the way to the bank!

the only thing special about this new mi mix is just under display cam?
might as well go for the zte axon 30 at half the price??
https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=11020&idPhone2=11040quite rare for xiaomi to get crushed so hard in value.
erm.. the specs aren't even comparable to each other..

one snapdragon 870... the other is 888+
camera sensor size is already a big difference 1/1.73" vs 1/1.33"

these 2 will already make up the bulk of the difference in prices.. don't even need to mention the charging ...

i think the Axon 30 is better compared to the poco f3..

The flagship specifications nowadays are so good that they can last 2-3 years easily. It is probably more cost-effective to upgrade a phone every 3 years. This is also around the period when the updates cease for that model. My take is clear glass for a selfie camera is still the way to go for the best photo quality.

absolutely agreed. No reason to change every year.

No doubt mix 4 the ceremic built is going to be breathtaking.. (I owned mix1 before).. Comparing to mine k30 pro zoom.. The size only smaller by 0.6mm in length. Same 1080p and size screen.. I dun see any benifit from 120hz screen and fast charging. The smaller battery cap and worst front cam quality is not an upgrade.. However the new CUP tech is good.. Hope it can improve further to allows qhd screen.

Lei zhong dun make much.. They still keep to 5 % profit.. I think they the only company reward first time buyer for mi1 with credit back...
i honestly doubt this has been this case for a while now, at least for their high end.

I'm still using Mix2S that I bought quite early after launch, because I didn't want a phone with a notch. Choices were limited. Suppose that must be about 3.5yrs?

The selfie camera on the bottom isn't great position but is okay to flip the phone 180-deg for video calls, or for photo (which for me is super rare). For Face Rec. works well and fast.

Still works great, so when I just read this CUP thing, I thought might be a good enough time to replace the 2S but pricing is a bit steep, especially if the front camera quality is not great yet. If that's the case, can wait till a future model but notch-less or punch hole-less is what I'm looking for.

U should have upgrade to f2 pro or k30 pro... No punch hole no notch... Pop up camera picture quality is good.
