Moi FCH begree holder in engrish riterature, so definitely hab the qualifications to be classified as native level engrish speaker. Don't think need jippunese proficiency to become engrish teacher there? Am sure many of the amdks teaching engrish there don't possess jippunese proficiency?

Your spoken English must be clean and clear. Otherwise, you can forget about it. And even if you get in, remember you are a gaijin (foreigner) so there will be a glass ceiling for you.

i know 2 person who taught eng in japan. one is career eng teacher who is still there.

i think pay is like 3-4k sgd. lifestyle is good. maybe can save 1-2k sgd i guess?

but teaching english frankly requires at least 1-2 years of experience to be good at it.

career wise not much room to climb up (maybe u can get up to 10-12k max in international schools later on) but it's a lifestyle choice.

Asian Americans and even Afro Americans saying

That they were ostracised in Japan for not being

Native speakers even though they have genuine certs and

i know one friend who taught in japan like a few years then came back sg be moe teacher.

moe teacher i think he earns maybe 5-6k+ nett including bonuses. but long hours and politics.

stay in japan earn 4-5k may even be better lol.

just avoid working for sporean (esp female) bosses.
