Omicron ish too infectious.
Hab to assume everyone will 100% be exposed, even for those that took leaves and hid in their doomsday bunker.

It ish to be assumed that death and severe illness rate ish 10% of the Delta, but due to breakthrough infection regardless or prior infection or vaccination, the number should jump 2-3X.
Sho ish 0.06-0.1% of the ENTIRE population.
Sho that still amounts to ~2500-5000 omicron deaths over the next few months.
Depending on how fast the cases spike, things could still rook bad in the near term.

And who knows if the Omicron endemic would fail again rike how Delta endemic failed, then maybe we need to do PI endemic and so on all over again...

Why they don't stop all the vaxed to travel?

All because of money.

Wait for 1000 or 5000 oyk virus case.

Wait for more countries to ban sg to travel to their countries.

Last weekend, orchard road and anywhere are so crowded, case gone up to few thousand or breaking new high is coming soon.

Most likely if more and more case, ** also coming.

Deja vu. Cecaland variant onset that time also same pattern. Local cases falling while imported cases saw a sharp rise due to procrastination in closing borders.....which eventually led to our next big wave. At the very least, quarantine free travel should be suspended. No point testing arrivals everyday but still letting them move about freely in the mean time. If they eventually test positive, those that they came into contact with during those days leading up to the positive result will end being dragged down as well(receive health warnings and possibly have to isolate) and worse still, possibly get infected and spread to others as well. Imagine if 1 omicron import came into close contact(before tests detected) with 30 others here....

Some more such travellers supposedly had cleared their pcr tests before coming....that means PCR tests buay zhun or cannot detect? Or worse still, kelong ones?

If we have another outbreak because of this, I have no doubt that they will pin the blame on sinkies even though it is the lax measures(lack of quarantine) that increased the risk. Kind of LPPL.....it's already established that the africa variant has high transmissibility but travel measures act as if covid is now a thing of the past and provide even more opportunities for transmission.
