Pvt sector got “great resignation” coming up .. lots will be walking on the streets ..
unemployment means cannot find job after more than 6 months, so if time the great resignation before annual performance review, unemployment numbers will still look good. meanwhile employment rate goes up as more talents take up citizenship

This kind of practice already happen long before this pandemic.
During the last financial crisis, govt assisted them on the condition they can't do retrenchment but they found loop hole by using termination....Duhzz

This thread so bs. Why risk getting into unlawful termination investigation? Just need to give employee 1 month notice. In the grand scheme cheaper.

Heard from a friend who overheard his boss talking to partner. He quickly find another job and run lionz

gov is paying a portion of his salary for x months. So when gov subsidy stopped employer “will” terminate him. That’s what he told me.

btw he is a new hire

can say the Co want to try out new guys

can't be they just hire to get co-funded for a while, right?

Where is the source of your information when you say "a lot of people"?

This kind of thing not I know u know every one know one meh? But won’t say warning letter.. maybe just a gentle reminder to let everyone know of the difficulty the company is “about to face”.

Maybe ur company is trying to scare ppl to leave on their own, so can cut down on retrenchment benefits is it?
