Mr Ong urged healthcare workers to "hang in there for a while more".

If Singapore is like other countries, cases should fall in the coming few weeks, with society becoming stronger each day and moving closer to normalcy, he said.

"It is no longer light at the end of tunnel, but barring unforeseen circumstances, it is something within our grasp," added Mr Ong.

"Please convey our thanks to your family members and loved ones too, for supporting you through these difficult times. Take care, and thank you."

because many infected already. Of course will fall. Thats what happened for Delta. Then a new variant comes in and everything happens all over again.

Not right for him to say hang in there. There will always be a new variant.

From what we know, now other countries are starting to have omicron ba.2.
And the sht has been ongoing since 2020, toughest point was when they iron teeth open out for Delta and omicron in, that was when luck running out finally.
