He says
Training should be realistic. No point doing stripping and assembling of the rifle.
Bring the men to the real site area to see the terrain and geographic area how to defend from shore.
Show the men how to shoot, where to shoot.
Let the men try out shooting.
Hold an exercise 600 vs 600 like one side act as enemy attach from shore, another side defend.
3 man team assault tactic is outdated already, now all CQB.
End of the training, everyone can sit together and BBQ.

I see their reservist training like train under a good environment

train under shelter. not bad wat.
Taiwanese many don't even want waste time on army.

They feel they got so much better thing to do

Like some of the Taiwanese youth interviewed

Those not pro independence one. Netural one. They is say they feel NS waste time they got many thing else to do. Not like they gonna win if 老共打过来

Those pro independence one. Also dont want to waste time on NS. Also say not like they going to win anyway. Then ask but they pro independence lei no intention to fight? They just say US will come help so no need they fight

Dont know should comment or not since not my country taiji

But i find their country logic jin weird

Chiu want to strengthen your army, should start with young full time nsf, extend it from 4 months to two and half years

then make regular training even tougher
since it their career

lastly then touch on reservist aka part time soldiers

but what they do is the other way round

Yeah. I guess that's mentality of most conscripts.

There is no determination to serve and there a lack of willing to sacrifice.

Yes

In Singapore lets be honest

Many also no determination to serve and lack of willing to sacrifice

But the difference is our culture and how we are brought up. We don't fight against the system. Law say must serve NS. Serve lo.

The llst attitude

But taiwan is totally different

Their side is very vocal with their vote. Party changes almost every election.

So any ruling party also don't dare "force" NS on the people. Because that will translate into vote

Piss off big group of them. Next moment kana vote out.

Maybe the defence Ministry think no point get a group of guys to fight if they have no heart.

His idea is every NS battalion is assigned a sector to defend during wartime?

Quite unconvincing right?

Only ops order are given, battalion then know which sector to defend or mission to carry out. The ops are not fixed and can be change for many circumstances.
