Road Tax: As stated by Tesla, the road tax for the Model 3 will be $2,926. This is much more expensive compared to other vehicles on the road. In contrast, the Audi A4 has a road tax of $1,194 a year, which is more than 50% lower. Do note however that this will increase in 2023 once the additional road tax cost for EV is included.

While the first year is inclusive in the cost of the car, over the next 9 years, this will add up to a further $26,334.

typical sedan is about 43/45l? 95 now at $3. So it’s about $130 before discount. even with 21% discount it’s still around $103

EV are much heavier than ICE cars. Heavier car will cause more wear to roads so fair for higher road tax to maintain roads.

Some shell petrol stations in sg already installed ev charger. Next time petrol station all change to rapid charger. hdb cp slow charger.

Next time with FSD/robotaxi, the car will move away from the charging bay to empty parking lot within the vicinity to prevent idle charge.

Then when u finish shopping, the tesla will auto drive to ur spot to pick u up, no need run around looking for ur car.

This sounds futuristic, but will happen sooner then anyone expects.
