Tesla high road tax is due to the high hp motor? Those family sedan ev with 100+ hp should have cheaper road tax.

If high HP EV is taxed heavily then it’s obviously to make money for the coffers since EV should be much less pollutive according to all the msm propaganda that’s being fed to us.

Looks like ur gauge quite off.

Typical 40L tank can travel about 560km MINIMALLY.

Current battery tech on Tesla can go about 650km on a 100% charge. Let's cheat abit, round it up. Make it 660km.

True that on the battery. But at ur estimation of 33% drop, might as well throw away the battery. Current car battery efficiency drop is actually single digits. Average about 1% per year. 10yr lifespan is about 12% loss tops.

Go and recalculate again. Early morning i lazy to do maths.
Charge controller is also deliberately set up to undercharge the cells to reduce capacity loss and increase cell lifespan. As the battery ages and nears end of life I expect this buffer is eaten into to reduce effect on the user experience.

mileage really depends on how u drive.

USA alot of freeway travelling. Singapore usually is about 50-50. My record for my 40L tank is 653km (on RON95). My worst is 450km (on VPower).

The variance quite huge and its really driver dependent, so I am giving u an average in-between figure.

city driving mainly in SG the FC is really bad de oh wells

Singapore is about money. Other countries get free charging!
I forsee in the future all car is EV already.

Govt confirm come out with some story on how EV is bad , congestion etc etc

now electricity cost to charge is 0.48 but must pay $1/kWH as electricity duties/tax

you heard it here first.

now never tax you for charging you must be thankful. Still want free :s13:

Lithium iron phosphate battery capacity drop even slower. Hearsay there is patent agreement that barred china battery makers from exporting lithium iron phosphate battery. The patent going to expire this year then china battery makers can export lithium iron phosphate battery.

I take from online. So amdk stats against amdk stats to be fair.
Plus now 40l full tank less than 100 alrdy. $75 saving for similar mileage, with ev mileage dropping over the years, plus the need to keep remember plug unplug like ppl eat v full liddat, plus need keep find charging port, plus tesla so much more exp but cant use autopilot, seems only idiots buy tesla

Users will now be charged S$0.48 per kilowatt-hour for using the Superchargers, and idle fees will be chargeable too.

The idle fees will be S$0.50 per minute and S$1.00 per minute when the station is 100% occupied. These idling fees will apply to all Model S, Model X, Model 3, and Model Y cars.

Based on Tesla’s Supercharger prices, the cost to charge a Model 3 standard range would be S$24. As for the Singaporean who took 46 minutes to fully charge the Model 3 performance, it would now cost S$37.44 with the new Supercharger pricing structure.

for the S$37.44, how much distance before another recharge?

EV are much heavier than ICE cars. Heavier car will cause more wear to roads so fair for higher road tax to maintain roads.
