Noctua fan are like RTX now. Crazy expensive.
I do observe the prices seems to be higher on Amazon, but I am not sure if it is because of third party sellers. Also, I've always feel that Noctua fans are very expensive. And if you consider the Chromax version, its even worst. They produce premium products no doubt, but too atas for me le. That's why till now, I've never own a Noctua fan.

Those are third party sellers, it’s currently OOS from the official retailer. Typically A12x25 goes for $45 new.

Haha , thats why Noctua are so ex . They are the quietest and last a lifetime
The longevity part is certainly true, just hold an Arctic P12 and a Noctua A12x25 side by side. Even my grandma can tell one is of much much higher quality. The Noctua will easily last a decade with no bearing or motor issues.

However performance wise, their competitors are quickly catching up at a fraction of the cost.

I just want to point out that 45+ is before shipping on Amazon. There is no free shipping from Noctua store on Amazon. So if you are getting 1, the shipping I think is a flat fee which will bump the price closer to 48 or so.

It used to only be only $40+ with free shipping when sold by Amazon, not sure why Amazon stopped stocking them themselves since early this year.

Noctua was founded in 2005 and the famous A12x25 only came into existence sometime in 2018. So I think it is premature to claim that it will last a lifetime. In fact, I have a few Deltas and SanAce that have lasted easily more than 15 years now. Performance vs airflow wise, I've not compared it with newer fans like the T30s and Vento Pro, but the San Ace 120 are really good fans.
To be fair, in my recent testing with a brandless USB 120mm fan that I got from Lazada many years back, I've been running it 24x7 for the past 2 years or more and surprisingly it is still alive and working well. So for PC computers where we don't run 24x7, I expect the fan to last a lot longer.

From the time I started eyeing before the pandemic happened, the Noctua store is already selling it with additional shipping fee. There are rare cases where I noticed that Amazon is selling it direct, but the price is either about the same or higher even without shipping. 40+ then was decent, but still on the pricey side since a Vento Pro is almost as good and cost substantially lesser.

I feel it is not quite a fair comparison when the P12 cost like 12 bucks, while Noctua are selling their A12x15 for almost 4x the asking price of the P12. They are meant for different target market due to their price so you really can't pit them against each other. The better comparison will be like Gentle Typhoon vs T30s vs Noctua, especially when the T30s cost almost as much as the A12x25 (brown version).

Don’t want to start a new thread so hope you folks can give me a bit of guidance on fan connection.

mobo has;
1xCPU fan header
1xcase fan header (4 pin)
1xAIO header (3 pin)

I need to hook up;
1x.CPU heatsink fan (Noctua A14x25)
2 x bottom intake fans (arctic p12‘s)
1 x top exhaust fan (Noctua A12x25)

‘’my setup should be:
CPU fan to CPU fan header
y-splitter to the bottom 2 case fans, connect to AIO header (should be able to control fan speed from BIOS?)
top exhaust fan to 4-pin case fan header
