Sorry, don’t mean to make fun. So tiancai (story character wise) is autistic, Down syndrome or intellectually challenged (low IQ)? Or a “mixture” of all these? Jin confused.

But I don’t think it is Down syndrome because tiancai looked so handsome and normal. 🤔

thats a good question, I think they intentionally never specify so he can represent a wider range of intellectually challenged people. cannot find any confirmation that he is autistic.

Not really leh . Dwn syn 1 of the defect is look weird weird de . Find me 1 dwn syn veri yandao de
My point is do not need to describe them as weird-looking beings, how will they or family feel?

cos to their parents, their kids are cute and normal

the point is uncalled for

the whole point of the drama is to assured those families, we know your world best and we dont stare at your "kids" at all cos we know them better than anyone........dont even need to mention/discuss , we know and understood what u have gone thru.......
men usually will not gossip or ask around , just now that one shouted loudly at Mcds, is DS, or ASD or ......?
we understood even w/o the need to ask

This Hong Ling and Desmond playing a couple (quite good on-screen chemistry, like jin loving) somehow reminds me of HL and Nick .... Desmond should be as tall as Nick ... 😉

I like their chemistry too. But think desmond is shorter than nick.

I don't think he got down syndrome. Media mostly say he is 20 yr old with IQ of 7 yr old so he has intellectual disability. Another member say Tiancai also got ASD.
Yeah, jin confused. One say one thing, another one say another thing .....

Erm alot of them are quite fine-looking gentlemen!

pls dont stereotype, it just doesnt sound v nice to mention abt what u saw for those w dwn syn
For down syndrome, you can tell based on their features. Not stereotyping, but it is a characteristic of their condition.

yes, but dont have to call them as wierd beings , esp if it is so obvious charac do we still need to "spell it out then"

All w a penis go straight to the toilet w a male sign........needless to even spell it out
Just say "now is bio break, pls proceed" all those w/o penis surely will march to the signs of fmale restrms.......dont have to, all will know what to do, even a 3yo kids

yes to create awareness , but we could still learn and benefit by adding positivy, not labelling and alwys be positive and encouraging
I thought the aim of this drama is "to create awareness" ...
parents of theirs will be reading

yes free speech but be slightly considerate will do, not over

I don't think the drama has brought out the awareness of special needs children since a few of us still confused with his condition. But agree the show has dramatised (HBR's role) the difficulties in a family with special needs child.

the discussion here has to be considerate, discussion is not a movie or a drama
It is a reality and u guys even stated it is a biological fact of their facial features that is a true fact, not a drama

so it s clear u guys r goin into something biology and r serious abt it

a discussion:

it s words that comes from us

Just like i often hear pp using the term spastic

damn HL is really good at these realistic crying scenes. she no need gek one really looks like holding back. nothing I've seen before in a mediacock drama. usually is eye open big big tear drop from one eye.

before I said it was kinda out of place now it's actually refreshing.
