Hmm, can try to take out and put back the stock lumbar. So far, I sit on the classic 1mth+ no issues. But really need to sit properly

Don't think it's the lumbar support problem? But thanks for the advice anw. I think my body still need to get used to the chair. But I can tell it really helps in correcting posture. I have more endurance while sitting and typing and feel less tired overall when I have to spend long hours in front of the PC.

Question for Aeron users: is it normal for my butt to hurt when using a Aeron (Classic w/ Posturefit) for the first time? Thanks..
sit a bit higher.
sitting too low means you are putting more pressure on your butt.
Sit higher you transfer the load to your thighs, taking load off your butt.

Anyone got the Sihoo M57 for some time now? - any reviews, the pros and cons?
I bought it during 2018 after discounts was under $200, still sitting on it now. Good quality unlike other budget chairs with flimsy plastic support that break off easily as seen in online reviews. Only con I can think of is non adjustable seat depth for tall people 180cm and above.

Thanks for the review. Where did you get yours? - I assume it's other platforms since there's so much discount, I saw it's listed on lazada/shopee.

Yeah looking for a budget full mesh chairs as I don't like cushion ones (gets dirty) and not willing to fork out almost $2k for aeron.

I got it on lazada, back then there wasn't much hype on M57 and lazada had better vouchers back then haha. Oh I realized there are some OEM M57 chairs named by the shops themselves, not sure if there is any quality difference from the official sihoo. Cushion chairs...hot and uncomfortable.

Sihoo is actually very good value for the price. Just tried it at hereen, courts. Mesh seems thicker than ergotune's. Use, spoil and throw, can still can get a few replacements before reaching Aeron/leap/ergohooman price.

Will get it after my current chairs spoil.

Just received mine from 8/8 sale from Sihoo SG Lazada.
Paid $234 (self installation) after using discount voucher, could have gotten cheaper if I had collected the bank voucher.

hope it will last for 5 years.
my current $30 cheapo chair foam seat is flatten until can feel the wooden base. I hope a mesh seat will be better.

think will just plunge for the HM

but thanks for the comparison. :) i went down to Hinomi store to try out the chair
how was it? from the website i see like alot more features than the Aeron.

But anyway me myself just get Aeron and thats my endgame chair. Not gonna buy anymore diff types of chairs already.

you mean as compared to Ergotune right? lol. not too sure about ergo tune.

but i quite like the Hinomi Gaming edition over the H1 pro. mesh was firmer and less cushion as compared to H1 pro. the leg rest was surprisingly comfy, the pads and angle of tilt.

only thing, i didnt like the plasticky feel of the chair overall. am thinking if its value for money. saw a post about mesh sagging after 2 years and the warranty doesnt cover the mesh material. lol. like that i rather spend on the HM and get full coverage for the whole chair [mesh included]

personally, i prefer hard chairs.

thanks! but will be buying brand new.

Brand new remastered Aeron is mostly plastic compared to the old Classic Aeron version which is mostly metal and most reviewers see it as a disadvantage in terms of quality/longevity, not to mention Classic has unlimited tilt lock v.s. Remastered (N fixed positions) I bought a used Classic for that very reason and am in the process of refurbishing it. I used alcohol wipes on the whole chair and blew out all the dust with a electric air blower. Thankfully the mesh on mine is still quite firm and all that needs replacing is the casters/lumbar support/seat foam insert. All can be found on Amazon for a total of less than $100 incl. shipping. Am looking to remove the seat pan and gently wash it before I install the seat foam insert. Even if the mesh gives out someday I can probably still find replacements. The effort and cost that goes into cleaning/replacing parts is totally worth it for the comfort and support I'm getting now.

Also, some additional thoughts on buying mesh chairs:

- seat mesh will definitely get dirty so the seat pan needs to be modular (easily removed) for convenience of cleaning
- you have to be conscious of the clothing you're wearing while using the chair - no jeans w/ metal studs or anything sharp/abrasive that could damage the mesh
- casters defo need to be replaced if buying 2nd hand, the amount of hair and gunk accumulated by previous owner is horrendous and extremely hard to remove. I bet even the 2nd hand scalpers on Carou don't clean out the casters for their buyers so you're better off trying to score your own good deals.
- get an electric air blower, it's your best bet for long term quick cleaning of the mesh. Can be used to clean laptop fans/PC and anything else that gets dusty easily in hard-to-reach places.
