I heard it's an integrated ERP and CRM tool.

But how good is it compared to using multiple applications in an organization?

My company switched from SF to D365. Bloody ****** up CRM. The UI is designed by idiot. Need to click many steps to achieve 1 task. Always got drop-down for things which have no options.

For example last time to order 1 burger, I need to click only 3 steps.

Now need to click 7 steps to order the same burger.

1) Choose bun > only white bun avail (no other options but put the stupid drop down field mandatory to choose)'

2) Choose protein > chicken, beef or fish

3) Choose spicy or non-spicy > only non-spicy, want chilli ownself add later

4) etc etc

Damm long winded or mafan

Complain about what?
unable to bulk/batch process

when there is a data change, have to do one by one.

e.g. price revision due to inflation, price for 9999999999999999999999999999999999999999 parts have to manually change one by one

or if want to do price check for 99999999999999999999999 parts, have to query one by one

or if there is a creation of 999999999999999999999999999999999999 parts, have to do one by one

personally, i do not use SBO, i only hear my colleagues complain, saying this day and age still doing mindless data entry.

Hmm no other options also must have drop down??

Abit funny right? Could it be the person in charge of implementing this software in your organization never communicate properly with vendor?

TS, ERP vs individual application is more complex to explain but for simplicity sake, see below:

- for individual applications you will need to consolidate the different results from each application on your own. (so more time is needed)

- an ERP system is supposed to help you to get the consolidated results automatically. (saving time)

- As per some people in the thread says that many clicks to do 1 operation, note that this might increase overhead for administrative tasks. (more time)

End up, no time is saved on ERP.

-> Proposed you do proper integration on your individual application will be easier since you said budget.

If got deep pockets, got for those that can customized to your business workflow.

if this is directive from your boss, tell him/ her to do proper POC.
If your boss still think it is good after POC, then LLST and accept it.
