With half the hall full earlier, Counter 18 started helping to deal with the non-MACS/APEC holders. 👍

Wah, can but 4D liao, someone doing work that is outside of their job scope of the day.

The current old scanners still work, on me, when I am wearing huge headphones, tried with headphones on 3 distances, standing straight on the foot prints in the floor, leaning fowards to be nearer to the camera and leaning backwards further away from camera. All works with headphones

Parking Coupon I bought from KK Supermarket for RM 8: 5 for 30mins, 10 for 1hr, expires after 2024 ie 2025 cannot use.

You can try 711 or similar e.g. FamilyMart

Johor Bahru
https://www.johornow.com/english/mobile-apps-new-parking-system-mbjb-mpjbt-area/ else coupons still work. Buy from sundry shops like 7-11. Issued by MBJB

Malacca
Smart Parking Melaka app or coupons from sundry shops like 7-11, issued by MBMB

Kuala Lumpur
Have not tried apps -> https://www.malaymail.com/news/mala...e-the-apps-and-e-wallets-you-can-use/1910065; Smart Selangor Parking app should be best since it covers Selangor too. Not sure if coupons issued by DBKL are still in use.

Look up a motoring forum too.

🤣 my first encounter with a bugged Manja Link transaction

Screenshot-155.png

when i tapped out yesterday when returning from KSL, it was via the front entrance as the back door scanner was off, bus driver signal to come to the front. Was surprised by the RM1 bus fare. Checked today and the system logged me as boarded the bus at opposite the large Shell station by customs for cars exit.

Anyone knows where in jb to buy ipoh sin weng fai peanut candy? https://shopee.sg/product/279406783/4771601373?smtt=0.1855298-1665292625.9. Thanks ahead!
Found! In Tao Yuan basement of Mid Valley Southkey RM16.50.

EDIT: I didn't go to City Square so couldn't check Kapitan. Checked 1 shop in Holiday Plaza but couldn't find there. Grabbed to MidValley from there so will check KSL and the vicinity next trip instead.
IMO, RM16.50... unless you're buying many packs, might want to rethink travelling to JB just for the above price difference. 🤔

On leave today, so decide to make a day trip to JB. This is my virgin trip to Bukit Indah, took bus CW3 from Jurong East in the morning. Ticket price is S$5 paid by Ezlink card. Stop at Aeon Mall. After walking around the Mall decided against walking around outside as the weather is very hot today. Was expecting cloudy and cool weather. Instead, took bus T33 to JB Sentral. Ticket price is RM 2.80. At JB Sentral, took the shuttle to KSL City to have lunch nearby at Hao Bi Duck King and do some light shopping. Return home at around 4pm.

i guess this week is 2 trips to JB, my max record is 4 days in a week to JB and all 4 days to jiak Orh Chien, that was how auntie knows me and I got to accepted into their exclusive "regular customer club "

tomorrow going in again for a day trip, planning on Paradigm Mall. Hopefully the 3.269 exchange rate stays, and now deciding if I should make it early to i can eat another old school Teochew Kuay Tiao stall, Sang Heng, in the same area as See Kee and Hiap Joo.

i think i haven't visited Paradigm Mall yet...

Maybe this time i can grab a short lined Hiap Joo... but for Sang Heng iirc, they close earlier than See Kee, so i have to get there by 1200hrs...

Short Hiap Joo queue on a Friday? 🤔 I think better luck if you're the first few customers after opening. That evening coming back I spotted a group with a HJ bag each. 😵💫

These days not only the younger ones go in groups, even the senior ones do that. No wonder the longer immigration queues even on regular weekdays.

I've not gone to Paradigm this year... And strangely haven't gone via Tuas except that one time early one Saturday morning. Should try to do it before the school holidays. 🤔

Jalan Jalan Cari Makan

I'm not sure if my passport can actually last 10 years. 🤣
Let's say you visit thrice a week. This means 1 page of stamps, assuming Imigresen is always considerate. In just over a year, you run out of pages. If you visit once every week, you run out in less than 4 years.

Ya, there's a period when my passport lasted barely 4 years. 🤣

Edit : I sure need MACS to come back. 😁

MACS sure was marvelous when it began- all that was required was a low fee and a visit to their office situated at the CIQ. When they closed the office and contracted an office at Tanglin Road to take over, it went downhill. Then there were maintenance issues at the gantry... I don't think those early days will return.

I only got to experience it for about a year, applied at ThirdLink. I'd still do it even if the cost goes up, so long as the gantries work.

it has been 7-8 years since i last ate here and it is still as delicious. Its a little pricey at RM20, but this is the add oyster version, regular is RM8, Large is RM 16, but is it pricey? i mean my Orh Chien already RM15

my travel buddy concluded that oysters are cheap and good in malaysia, the oyster today was on par with orh chien auntie's oyster standard.

1.jpg

get there before 1300hrs if you really want to eat, today the unforseen early CIQ jam added about 30 minutes of extra queue time and i got there around 1315hrs and i was the 2nd last order of the day

11 nice and juicy oysters, pork liver, kidney and meat both slices and minced. Wait time was about 45minutes from getting there/ordering till food came, that was how long the queue was.

2.jpg

West Malaysia pork has a better IMO porcine flavour, incase you don't know, SG imports pork from East Malaysia Sarawak, Indonesia, Brazil and the Netherlands but no pork from across the causeway due to past disease outbreak/HFM

The soup is definitely the star, and the advantage of getting the last orders is the extra flavor from all the pork parts cooking for each order over the day in the soup. I asked for a soup refill  it was that yummy and when i brought my bowl back to the front, i could see 2 large pork bones still simmering away in the soup as the soup level was getting low.

i was debating to go queue at Hiap Joo while waiting for the noodles, oh and the only reason i got noodles was Kuay Tiao was sold out by the time i got there at 1315hrs, so another reason to arrive early if you want kuay tiao, but my main priority was the soup and meat. so i was ok with any carb.

5.jpg

This was the queue at Hiap Joo when i got there after finishing my noodles, IMO the banana cake is not worth the wait time, i would have grabbed it if the queue was no more that under their awning. There are food that i will definitely queue and wait for, but IMO Hiap Joo is no longer one of those.

I don't think that their banana cake is as good but it's no fault of Hiap Joo but rather the problem with their main ingredient, the bananas, which due to the way they are cultivated for mass consumption. I have bananas for breakfast with oatmeal and peanut butter 3-4 time a week for breakfast and other days i use self frozen bananas to make shakes, and i feel bananas itself is losing its banana taste as compare to last time.

after that was the same itinerary as last week, Sentral to Holiday Plaza for massage, then pasar malam at KSL.

i think i got my travel buddy hooked on massage and the next travel itinerary is for Tuesday for him to compare massage at Plaza Sentosa then follow up with Pasar Malam at Pelangi.
Go in JB don't massage is like wasted :ROFLMAO:
