yes i know but if one can pay $30K CC bill, thats like extra $300 which is similar to the cap on reward + for $350K. So potentially can get 6.1%

HSBC is my fav bank :D
yeah I think only those business people can do that (chalk up 30k cc bill every month).

But 5.1% is very very good already, must enjoy while it lasts ✌️

Can consolidate entire family's CC payment into HSBC, i agree not easy but still its a bonus.

Lucky this 4.1% is for rolling 4 months no need shift here and there.

Is it safe to say that for the HSBC card spend everyday+ bonus 1% so long credited, that particular transaction / merchant will be eligible for cashback or hsbc points ultimately come next month?

Since there is no way to check if that particular merchant / mcc / transaction is an eligible transaction or not for whichever hsbc card

Latest 6mth tbill auction at 4% nia.
Hsbc 4.1% ftw.
1% everyday+ bonus is the icing on the cake.
but T-Bill interest in advance and no need to track and follow up if they have paid the bonus interest in the future months.

Anyone keeps the Oct interest promotion T&C? The file has been override by the Nov one already. I would like to validate the period is Oct to Jan 2023 and rate is 2.5%.

thanks,

Hi, can anyone advice. When having to do the merry go round strategy, is it wise to deposit fresh funds on 1st of the month with alternate months? Will it trigger fall below fee deduction since previous month did not maintain min fund?

Oct bonus interest rate is 2.45% / 2.25%..base interest 0.05%.

The fall below fee deduction used to be around the fifth of the month, think they will send some reminders to top up the account before deducting the fall below fee, so leaving just one alternate month empty might not trigger the deduction

My cycle is Sep-Dec, so can't join this 4.1% bonus rate, right? Currently I put my money out of HSBC.

But what's rationale for HSBC to hold us on old cycle?
I thought HSBC needs money and that's why it keeps pumping up the bonus rate, right?

Maybe just for the sake to get new customers?

I am on Oct-Jan cycle and someone mentioned in this forum that I can't subscribe to the new cycle until this one expired. I think kind of makes sense, HSBC effectively locked a group of customers with lower rate just like FD, no reason they allow everyone to subscribe to new cycle. I have not tried to call the CS to confirm though, may be you can try and telling them that you will be moving out the fund ;)

Haha, already moved out my fund since Sep to RHB. Already called to confirm you have to stick to the cycle. lol

My Sep cycle even worse. That's why I am wondering what is the rationale behind and if HSBC can "lock" any fund on the low rate as you expected. lol
No worries but at least you end the cycle earlier than me and you already parked the fund with RHB, I think early Jan the rate should still be uptrend!
