Like what newer AIOs? When I say the 13900K can barely handle the thermals with an AIO, I am talking about 360mm. You should try a 280mm AIO and update here. I am keen to know your results. There is no such thing as an AIO with a thicker radiator. You only can select these options if you do custom watercooling. And we have reached the limit of AIO efficiency for a long time. Unless you know something I do not about newer AIO technology that is coming out, your misplaced trust in thinking newer AIOs to handle the 13900KS will be costly lesson. But you are welcome to try it. I think everyone here also is eager to learn what happens if you use a 280mm AIO or a newer AIO on a 13900KS. Don't be surprised when you see 100 degrees on Cinebench R23 load. Then my only reply to you would be I told you so.

I was thinking of the Hyte Y60 case which gives that limit of 280mm. Of course beyond that will need a larger case to accomodate the larger radiator.

You replied too fast. Chk out my other options in the same post

Have to check the LL Dynamic O11D Evo case then

This thread is with cpus one level higher than the previous one
cpu and mobo come together, u can't put an intel cpu in an amd mobo and vice versa; they should be considered as one whole package. no point u like the 13900k/s and the x670e, in the end they won't work together.

also, it's your money, u can buy whatever u want based on ur needs. no point asking us what we want when what we look for can be drastically different from urs. comparing clockspeeds across different architectures is also a pointless endeavour.

I never said to have INTEL and AMD parts in combo mah. It's either you stick to an INTEL or AMD setup ah

So far I only compare INTEL vs AMD like CPU and Mo. AMD GPU not release yet so no performance review on the net

Hyte Y60 is awfully limiting for an ultra high end build

O11D Evo.. is OK. It is probably the most versatile case for a custom CPU+GPU loop. But non-custom loop setups, lancool 3 has better air flow right out of the box. Doesn't look as nice though. From your O11D Evo/Hyte Y60 choice, i can see your aesthetic preference.

Your CPU choice questions can't be answered when 1. Product is not out yet 2. Pricing is unknown. Will have to wait and see. Too many variables

Anyone reading this thread, please get a pack of panadol EXTRA ready. I for the life of me can't figure out what TS actually wants/expects.

One thing is for sure, high end AMD CPUs and Intel CPUs are basically binned to hell and back it's already pushing the thermal envelope that even a basic 360mm aio has issues cooling it. I don't get it why not just get like a regular 13900k or Ryzen 7900/7950X and just play from there if you aren't ready to go custom watercooling. IMHO, the 7950X3D and 13900KS requires custom cooling to really work properly. You can still somewhat get away with those regular 13900K and 7900X/7950X on a competent AIO. 13900K with Asus boards for example, you can tune with load line calibration tuning and trim off excess voltages while still keeping performance. This itself drops 10 degrees off easy.

These CPU architectures are nearly tapped out from Intel and AMD, if you're not overclocking you're getting most of the performance out of the box but you will be thermally limited with an otherwise standard cooling solution. There is no buts or ifs in physics.

I have no decision to get a full tower case yet. And I need to put it under the desk. Height is therefore a restriction and my desk cannot take a heavy setup

Currently, just aiming for a mid-tower

I already said I'm considering the K, KS, 7950X and 7950X3D.

I'll wait for more YT videos to see how the setup is for KS, 7950X and 7950X3D after released before making a decision.

u dont have a choice, cpu and mobo must go together. first u ask which mobo, now u ask which cpu, in the end is the same thing.

im not sure why gpu was suddenly brought into the convo..?

Because there's no AMD GPU yet. My setup with Intel i9-13900, Mo and GPU already discussed.

Now moving to AMD set up

Bro,, chill, I read the entire thread, you are the only person who have so much patience.. you knowledge are true facts. I myself also know that current AIO no matter how top.. 12900KS, 13900k and 7950X already hard to handle..

this section is for TS.

to create numerous of threads, which I did entertain one by saying . buy all platform, no need to think. suka suka play intel suka suka play amd ar bo play mac mini or macbook with all M1 M2 chip.... obviously your actions have hesitation. You don't need to keep asking.. For me I utter less.. need it .. do proper research .. WHACK and use it, test it myself... why waste time asking and asking.. impractical questions. you wanna spend 10k top dog.. dont need to ask so much.. be decisive ..

Knowledge is not about flexing is about helping. Is this being helpful.. hence no but is a good topic to brag on for yourself entertianment.

I kept checking that this thread is in HWZ clinic and not EDMW. Not once but at least 3 times. Just saying...đź’€

lol, im done trying to make sense of what ur saying. the xtx naming is for amd gpu, not a cpu u can put into the socket of a mobo (so u dont have to worry about mb support). 7900xtx havent even come out yet u already want to get 7950xtx. u clearly have more money than sense.

Stick with the topic unless you have nothing else to contribute.

You can critique but not such comment

If you read your posts over again, the one that is consistently off topic is you pal. Please don't act like some pope. Those who act as such are the most humsup people in the world. As the saying goes, don't teach your father how to f***.

Have fun with your 7950 XTX CPU. Really looking forward to it.
