you heard how much henry went in with his cpf, 600k. 4% of that is 24k. that is a lot of money. it is worth arguing here.

based on interest lost . delta is just 1% ish. $6k one year divide by 2 for 6 months t bill..

if $3k over 6 months worth the argument sure. damm , life changing amount. tomorrow I can change to a Lambo. haha.

actually just curious , everyone put in like $1m is it ?

why so agitated over 0.1-0.2% ?

100k @ 1% / 2 = $500 Nia over 6 months.

I guess everyone here really rich .. life changing amounts that must debate until like this.
Those ppl who used CPF to invest are not using 10k they most likely hoot 100k or more so a small percentage translate to big amount. Hence they don't like lowballer but too bad the game is like that. They can scold for all they want we just want to get full allotment for ourselves with cash

yeah if you have ways of earning 50%, 100%, then you do not have to waste time in this thread. there are no opportunities for you to make that here.

it is not just they do not like lowballer, they refuse to admit that they themselves are lowballer. they want to take a moral high ground. there is no justification for that

your definition of lowballer is very subjective. you say 9 % is not a lowballer. i say it is. i bid 20%. that 9 % lowball guy has prevented the yield to reach 20%.

our definition of lowballer is not subjective. as long as you helped to lower the coy, you are a LOWballer. you caused the yield to be LOWer

Tne big problem with your definition is that u cannot say if someone is a lowballer or not until u know the COY.

Say X's best alternative is 4% so say he bids 3.9%. In my definition, he is Not a lowballer because he has bid intelligently taking into ac his own situation.

Now, in your definition, If coy is 5%, he is a lowballer because he is successful. But if coy is instead 3%, then he is suddenly a hero! Is this logical?

In your logic, Everyone who is successful IS a lowballer. So why bother with the term? Just call them bidders!

If every bidder bids responsibly according to what they require and taking into ac alternative investment options, then the COY will be a true reflection of the real market demand for the return required

But if everyone deliberately underbids, then it is only a matter of time before you get a freak super-low COY and you will only have yourselves to blame

what you have said is true. but then you don't have the bully pulpit, definitely not on this platform to make a diff

It is not a %. It is how you approach your bidding - I already explained in my earlier post
so if i want to do shielding. i run of time. i die die must get my money out this round. i bid 0.01% and i really can accept 0.01%, i not lowball?

Yes, perfectly right - in my books u are fully justified to bid 0.01%

If there are 1000 people in the same boat, and they all bid 0.01% and the coy is 0.01%, it will still be a true reflection of what the market really demands at that point in time
