was at DBS, Jem Branch this morning with Long Q, this auntie in front of me would like to place FD with DBS and was told by the staff that appointment will be given rather attending at the bank counter. Even with appointment, the staff will help the auntie to place FD through IB at one of cubicle rooms. This auntie does not believe in digital IB because scare of scam as she told mi she would rather wait in line than doing Online Banking..

How come I downloaded the Icbc app it never go through the singpass authentication?When the app was successful downloaded I can't log in as I do not have an acct nbr to start with.An error code 8 digits appear with msg no log on ID or wrong password.Do you face the same issue?Need to contact CSO?

They said no more opening of acct for the day when I was there at 11am+ so I walked away.Then how can ppl open online acct if one need the card to log in which I am facing this problem.
And it was the security guard feeding me with the info not bank staff.

there are more extreme ppl who don't even have mobile banking or even own a phone for such fears in the world. must do things physically

Rhb service level very slow. Almost 2 hrs I count it served ABT 15 FD clients.Got a hunch they deliberately dilly dally so yr FD starts next day to their advantage. Now at 1445hrs the nbrs move faster. For those planning to come down in coming days better think twice.

Not very efficient bank.Probably have to open online and that takes 2-3 weeks to approve.

Opening of account will be done through their IB and not app. It will take weeks to process the account opening.
@sohguanh had shared experience with ICBC on opening account which is a long process. Go early and apply in person if u really need to ...

Yes becuz you no account yet. I same as you last time. The Singpass authentication prompt me when i submit online application to open a ICBC multi-currency savings account. The app download never prompt.

Hahaha. Yes you are right. RHB Cecil branch FD is slow. But I think they are just naturally slow. Not purposely. Work flow is probably not efficient.

Boc also ..years back went open Smartsaver acct at BOC tiong Bahru branch,staff very relax attitude, machiam everything in slow motion. I feel so sleepy

It makes no sense to make ppl come from all over Sg to this particular branch.It will be wiser to open up to all branches as the outreach to customers is wider.Many elderlies around here and you dun expect them to buy other products if that is what they are targeting.

It’s all your luck I guess. I went afternoon was ok. But was told lunch time more crowded.

BOC at their Toa Payoh outlet their staff also very relaxed. I once reached there at 1 pm, was only attended to at 4 plus. Think they will only speed up near closing time.
