I received the full amount back in my UOB CPFIS account this morning.
Bank : OCBC CPF Investment Account
Application date : 09 Oct 2022
Auction date : 13 Oct 2022
CPF Deduction date : 15 Oct 2022
Issue date : 18 Oct 2022
Maturity date : 18 Apr 2023
CPF back to OCBC date : 20 April 2023
I initiated the transfer back to OA at 6+ am in the morning and by evening 6+ pm it's already in the OA account (within the same day).
Surprised as I'd called CPF in the morning after I submitted the transfer... they said it'll take up to 3 working days. Didn't expect to see it back at OA so fast.
Thanks for sharing.
So OCBC is the slowest among the three banks for getting the funds into CPFIA, while DBS is the fastest. However, UOB lets you transfer back to CPF within the same day (my guess is if the refund is initiated within the morning), whereas DBS only transfers it back during the next working day. This would be very good to know when debating whether to apply for those t-bills with maturity dates close to the end of the month.
Another thing in UOB's favour is that they return the full amount, whereas DBS automatically charges the $2.70 and returns it a few days later.
@caesium5, could you please share whether you received the full amount, or less than that? Thanks.
