Disciplinary problems- I opine that since 20 years ago, teachers are not allowed to discipline students and with the western influence, even spanking by parents is not allowed as it’s child abused. Heck, even scolding children is frowned upon as psychological abuse

To add on, my teacher friends told me that nowadays they also don't dare to scold students cos students will say they depressed, then go cut themselves or want to die, then become is teachers' de fault.

I disagree

it’s more of failure of parenting.

I tell you why. When you say failure of parenting AND education, parents will wash their hands of responsibility cos it’s the school’s fault and the school will say mybfd it’s the parent’s fault.

End up no one takes responsibility, all feel it’s not their fault, and the cycle continues. And the focus becomes not on how to discipline the child but who is the one responsible- endless debates
