But ok let’s assume Chinas weaponries and doctrine are the same as russia. Russias problem is its industrial capacity and lack of manpower. Chinas population is more than 10x and its industrial capacity is unrivalled. It will out produce the entire western world. It’s military budget is 5x russias.

you probably meant performed beyond expectations. as we have not seen the pla perform in more than 40 years, i will say this is quite possible.

shocked would not be a right word to say of the world's 2nd or 3rd military power(the imperial japanese army was not that then). unless you meant shocked as in how the great russian army performed last feb-mar

where did u draw such a conclusion from? decadence of PLA has become so wild spread n severe that that the war machines they made r generally hot airs.
according to acquaintance in shipbuilding, hull of their warships do not hv the required thickness n would require a long time to pre steam, a ship like AC shandong would takes 3days.
when their bulletproof humvees were crashed by stones during the the himalayan conflict, it’s anyone’s guess that such subpar war machines must surely be in abundance.
