honestly i dont think it matters at all. keep in mind that that website is a business that sells computers, of course they will try to push for customers to go for more "premium" options so that they can charge more for builds. the 7800x3d still has very admirable single thread performance, and ive not seen anything about quantower being cpu heavy anyway. if really worried, u can consider the 7900 non x which has among the best all round performance while being not too far behind the 7800x3d in gaming (not that it matters when gpu limited). intel side u can also look at the 13600k or 13700, just pick whichever is cheaper ba.Have bought the following components already but having 2nd thoughts about the 7800X3D because primarily is to do ES futures trading on Quantower platform, then gaming and after reading the article at “https://www.tradingcomputers.com/expert-center/best-cpu-processor-for-trading-computers.html”, the author recommended intel over AMD.
so currently here are the purchase thus far
Any thoughts should I change to intel? Or stick with AMD? Any recommendations?
depends on what u mean by best, eg best performance or best value? if ur targeting the high end gaming rig suggested price, amd doesnt really have anything in the 4070 price bracket other than overpriced navi 22, so u can either save a buck and get a more sanely priced 6700 xt as suggested in the midrange build or step up to the 7900xtx (7900xt is still way too expensive locally to be worth imo). psu choice depends on which path u go, but make sure to not skimp on it and get a reputable unit.if im using the high end gaming rig n going for team red, wats the best gpu n psu suggestion? n does the FD north case fits all the parts?
fd north has large clearances. in general it is enough, though 355mm gpu clearance might not be enough for chonky cards esp at the high end, so do keep that in mind.
da850 is probably fine for sg 240v mains power, but i would suggest opting for a better quality unit given the meager 3y warranty. u can get a good 750w unit like the asus rog strix 750w or msi mag a750gf for about 150, which is enough for basically everything but the 4090.6. PSU - SilverStone DA850 80 Plus Gold 850W (Dynacore - $125)
the intel stock cooler confirm cannot tahan the 13700 at full blast (eg when compiling code). if looking to not pay too much for cooling, can consider the thermalright peerless assassin 120 @ $70 from bizgram for top tier air cooling. or if u want something under $50, can look at the id cooling se 224 xt.7. CPU cooler - use default Intel cooler
Not sure if there's any budget cooler to recommend that is better than the Intel.
