I'm now leaning towards the first over the last 2 after reading about the 7800X3D performance. Pricewise seems about the same as I self build the high end gaming rig + 7800X3D at Dynacore + assembly fee + shipping. Not sure what I'm missing.

Montech air 100 is a fairly small case. The clearance for the GPU is very little. Get a better case

Hey there,

Been reading through the forum, thanks so much for the expertise. I'm wondering to get some feedback on this build from Aftershock. I'm not too concerned about the budget as the pc I'm building is for work/gaming so it pays off itself.

Intel Core i9 13900KF Processor
AFTERSHOCK Glacier Mirror 360mm Watercooling
Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX D5
Gigabyte RTX 4090 Gaming OC 24GB
32GB ADATA Lancer RGB DDR5 6000MHz (16x2)
2TB Lexar NM790 Gen4 SSD
1000W FSP Hydro GT Pro 80+ Gold
Lian Li O11D EVO Black

SGD4,895

Just checking if it's worth the cost or if it's better to build it myself. I'm weighing the option of getting support if my PC is also having issues, etc.

If I were to build it myself, are there any parts I can upgrade instead? I have enough SSDs and HDDs from my current PC to bring over also.

I'm also hoping to get a good build with a smaller form factor. The Lian Li O11D EVO Black is currently too big for my liking.

Dynacores price list shows pulse at 1629 while nitro is at 1599 which I found a bit weird.
Actually the Pulse is lower than that but the Nitro+ is at a really good price now (against other 7900XTX models)

The price difference though I will still push for the 7900XTX Nitro+

Silverstone DA850 850W 80+ Gold Full Modular

Is this really bad? Invader uses this though
its considered tier c in the psu tier list, with a note saying that it may not offer full protection in sub 115v mains. its also only has 3y warranty, so abit risky when used to power high wattage systems which are also usually quite expensive.

if ur just doing msfs, u could stand to save a lot if u diy with a 5800x3d, which gives u very near (>90%) 7800x3d performance.
5800x3d + asrock b550m/ac - $602
kingston fury beast 2x 16gb 3600c17 ddr4 - $119
thermalright peerless assassin 120 - $65
crucial p3 plus 2tb - $169
zotac rtx 4070 ti trinity oc - $1195
asus rog strix 750w - $149
fractal design north - $229
total: $2528, less if u go for a cheaper case and/or source from places other than dynacore. that said, if u rather go prebuilt, the first system with 7800x3d u shortlisted is a good deal, even cheaper than aftershock while costing not much more than the 7700 build.

arctic liquid freezer ii 360mm157tradepac
gigabyte windforce 40902569dynacore
asus rog strix 850w187dynacore
with a $150 case, this is $4712. also includes a better quality nvme and aio, plus choice of ram. ive left some case recommendations within that $150 budget at the bottom of the first post, should be reasonably sized though dont get the matx ones lmao

personally id say it might not be worth the saving if ur looking for after sales support, when ur spending big bucks like this its only a less than 5% difference. then again, aftershock service is not exactly held in high regard around here ...

I see that the budget recommended build GPU has changed to RX7600, likely because the local price for 6600 and 7600 is just about ~$30, according to Dynacore's pricelist.

However, since RX6600 can often be obtained online (from like Amazon) for about ~$280-$300 (now almost $100 diff), would you still recommend 7600 for that price?

Hi guys,

Would you all recommend buying from sellers on Carousell or sticking to reputed SLS stores? Pricing on Carousell seems a little cheaper and are supposed to come with local warranties.

Are good assemblers to recommend (i.e. I can pick and choose the parts and have them help to assemble for a fee)? Was thinking whether I should buy an entire system from one party, or buy some from amazon (RAM and SSD etc) and the rest locally?

more like the previously recommended 6650xt was the same price but slightly slower.

if the 6600 is closer to 300, then the value on offer by both cards are very similar, so i would go for the 7600 for the extra performance and local warranty support unless i have a very tight budget to fit. if the 6600 is closer to 280 (or even lower with the hellhound model at 279) then there is a strong argument for it. its probably a good idea to spend as little as possible on 8gb cards nowadays.

my comment would be biased as i used to be one of those carou sellers :s22: but ofc best is to source for the best prices u are willing to buy from, for eg amazon usually has good prices for ram, ssd and sometimes gpu.

Hi everyone,

I am new to pc building and would build a pc for 1080p gaming. I would like to seek your opinions on the builds below if they are alright. I was initially looking to purchase a RX 6700/6700XT series card but it seems to be sold out everywhere.

And also would you guys recommend to go for the Ryzen 5 7600 for future upgrades? Thanks.

Thanks for much for sharing this. It looks like there are definitely some benefits to that. But I'm most curious why is it not too high regard for their service? Perhaps I'm just noob and reliant on someone that I can always go back to.

depending on your gaming point. i would 100% not take the 3060ti... and one would say no to your silverstone ET700 also depending on your upgrade path...

Can I ask what would you recommend instead? I am just looking to be able to play AAA games in 1080p. Not sure if I would need a higher tier GPU for that.

value gaming pc, total: $1088
ryzen 5 5600 + asrock b550m/ac316tradepac
kingston fury beast 2x 8gb 3600mhz cl17 ddr469dynacore
wd blue sn570 500gb55dynacore
powercolor rx 7600 fighter394dynacore
super flower legion gx pro 650w104techdeals
if strict 1k budget, can settle for a cheap case within the remaining $61 like the tecware nexus air m2 (again) or flatline.
you can upsize the ssd to your needs
i am just saying for the price of 3060ti is very over priced its not worth it

yep as deepblue mentioned, just follow the value gaming rig. the 7600 is not too far behind the 6700 series/3060ti.

for 1080p, probably not, especially at this level of gpu performance.

a lot of horror stories of incompetent and rude service staff, plus paying for good reviews. but there is no denying the convenience of not having to ownself troubleshoot.

Looking to purchase a new system with a budget of $2,000.

As I only intend to game in 1080p, is the high end rig (~$21xx) recommendation in post#1 overkill?

Current
Processor - Ryzen 5 2600 + Gammaxx GTE
Mainboard - MSI B450 Tomahawk
Graphics Card - Zotac GeForce 1660 Ti
Memory - Team T-FORCE VULCAN Z 32GB DDR4 3200MHz
Storage Drive - Crucial MX500 1TB / Seagate Barracuda 2TB
Display - Xiaomi 34" 21:9 144Hz
Power Supply Unit - Seasonic FOCUS PLUS Gold 550W
Casing - Fractal Design Meshify C TG

How u play 1080p if ur monitor is 1440p ultrawide? Sure looks bad or u staring at smaller screen. Requirement is between a normal 1440p and 4k....unless ur 2k+ includes new monitor, then not enough

3k is way too much for just d4, u can build a top of the line system with that kind of money (see high perf productivity + gaming reco). for 1080p and even 1440p, can reference this post or the value gaming pc reco. for 4k, the midrange reco enough. u can take a look at this article for an idea of the requirements at the resolution and refresh rate ur friend is targeting:

personally id say ur current system is still good for 1080p gaming, if u dont have any qualms about the experience then i dont see any reason to upgrade. if u really want to, u could probably get away with a cpu and gpu upgrade to follow the value gaming rig (or the midrange pc if u want more gpu performance), no need to buy a whole new system for 1080p gaming. so yes, the high end gaming pc reco is going to be overkill, though u can follow its cpu + mobo + ram config if u want a cheap path to current gen.

with ur current setup... to me.. just upgrade the cpu to a 5700x or 5800x3d pair with a 6700 and u are good to go..
it would cost u 600-700.
