已请辞的淡滨尼集选区议员钟丽慧，则在写给李总理的辞呈中说：“我很抱歉在这种情况下辞职，我向党以及我的居民和义工致歉。”


总理在回信中说，对钟丽慧请辞的情况感到遗憾，但她辞职是必要的，以保持行动党多年来一直坚守的高标准品格和个人操守。
