Sounds quite complicated. Don’t understand the part on how scanning a static qr card will auto populate the item price in our dash app though. I thought usually if price is set, we need to scan a dynamic qr that is generated by cashier.

Besides 7-11 and cheers, any other retail outlets?

Price is entered by the cashier, if you scan before they enter the amount, it will reflect an error.

You need to scan after price is entered and payment method set by cashier.

Those who signed up GXS via Grab one and you have no use for Grab, pls go to Grab and unlink your GXS from your Grab account (go to payment methods). Especially if you have a lot of money now in your GXS. This is a precaution.

Cos I opened up Grab and the default payment method is this GXS and I realised Wah sh|t, 不可以
I would never have any debit card or services openly linked to a bank account.

why is it fear mongering when he is not discouraging ppl from using the bank, but to take precaution?

u nvr know what loopholes exist in the app that hackers might exploit, and that one little extra precaution may be the only thing that stops ur money from being siphoned away. Being complacent that everything is safe and secure is probably one of the reason y Singpaoreans are so easy to scam.

agree with your perspective on taking precaution, but the whole point of linkage and having a main account is ease of spending on Grab without having to top up the wallet.

However to each their own, and everyone could take measures they deem appropriate as it helps with raising risk awareness
