If 4k tv 60hz play at high setting, I believe 4070 is more than powerful to drive the game at native resolution without upscaling DLSS.

in that case your GPU better be either of these cards

Radeon RX 6800 XT
Radeon RX 6900 XT
Radeon RX 6950 XT
GeForce RTX 3090 / Ti
Radeon RX 7900 XT
GeForce RTX 4080
Radeon RX 7900 XTX
GeForce RTX 4090

On a side note, i always play total war series but haven't try projection on my tv. Should be quite fun to see blown up units on a 85" tv.
I started playing on a 40" TV and i never go back using monitor for any gaming.

85" is a experience i would want to try..

Thanks for your recommendation, i guess the rest is up to my budget..

i not sure if 8gb is ok to play on 4k TV.

i not too understand about GPU. looking at 3060,4070 they got 12 GB.

After a quick read up about speed, vram and CUDA Cores spec and reviews, i still unable to answer will it affect playing on a 4k tv.
8gb is almost definitely not enough for 4k gaming in general, though it depends on ur game. vram is also not the only metric of gpu performance, the 3060 has 12gb yes but it is significantly slower than the 4070 with the same amount of vram; u will need to research reviews on the cards to know how they stand relative to one other. u can technically run a 3060 with a 4k display, its just more likely than not if u try to play games at that resolution it will be very slow and look like a slideshow, which definitely would not be enjoyable. most gamers usually target 60fps at their preferred resolution for a smooth experience, and since u are looking to use a 4k display, u should look at a gpu that can reliably hit 60fps at 4k; 3060, 4060 and rx7600 are only really suited for 1440p60 gaming and below. i did peek at performance for total war warhammer 3, and looks like a 4070ti/7900xt is required for almost 60fps at 4k ultra settings. cuda does not affect gaming performance in any way, rather it is an nvidia exclusive feature for gpgpu tasks like machine learning (ai).
let's say i will adjust the game graphic universal setting at high on 4k TV.

from dollar perspective, if a msi 4070 ti is $1,400+, getting a amd 7900 for 20gb is better?
4070ti is already not a good buy at 1.2k, don't even bother at 1.4. and yes if u can find the 7900xt for the same price as a 4070ti then it is the better buy not just for vram but also better performance. u can find brand new local set xfx model with warranty for under 1.2k on carou from a certain system integrator.
I adjust the the set up list using dynacore list. the overall set up is $1,686 without GPU.

u can save $150 by going for the matx b650m tuf, which would be a good move since ur not using expansion cards other than the gpu. i would also opt for a msi a750gf for $60 less. for ram, i would go for the gskill flare x5 6000c32 expo, as while 6000mhz is fast, cl40 is quite loose. ryzen is very sensitive to memory timings and u may not get as much performance as a kit with same 6000mhz but tighter (ie lower cl figure) timings.
in that case your GPU better be either of these cards

Radeon RX 6950 XT
GeForce RTX 3090 / Ti
Radeon RX 7900 XT

Radeon RX 7900 XTX
GeForce RTX 4090
unless he is willing to go used, very hard to find high end last gen cards, so viable options are only 7900 series and 4080; 4090 card alone already most of his budget. a 7900xt would be good enough, and id choose the 7900xtx over the 4080 if that performance level is desired.

For the GPU, i intend to invest a bit.

using MSI RTX4070Ti SUPRIM X 12Gb Triple Fan GDDR6X at 1,465 to compare, i shortlisted this 2

1. Msi Amd Radeon RX 7900 XTX Gaming Trio Classic 24GB GDDR6 at $1,659
2 Gigabyte Amd Radeon AORUS ELITE RX 7900 XTX 24GB, $1,609

honestly, i can read the specs but no idea what it mean to me.

I will make change to the MB, PSU and RAM.

Really appreciate the advice.

for 4070Ti just get the Zotac gaming oc for 12xx online 11xx at sls with 5 years warranty. Rest of the brands only 3 years.

At this price you can get the XFX 7900XT which I believe will age better than the 4070ti due to having more VRAM.

You need the VRAM for 4k

RTX 4070 Ti, galax/zotac/pny models can be bought at 11xx sometimes 10xx, 1465 is too high for this model

Anyway, now the 25th-27th sale still on in shopee, ending at 12am
PNY RTX 4080 @ $1569
Powercolor RX 7900XTX Hellhound @ $1430

For your psu, msi a750gf/rog strix 750w/seasonic focus gx 750w(non-ATX 3.0) version

As nightraven49 mentioned, change your mobo to the matx version, the matx tuf board is discounted heavily

Ok, I already switch out the Mobo and PSU.

a noob question.. does the manufacture of GPU matters? I only know of companies like MSI, ASUS, Gigabyte..

after i get all these parts, is there any reliable shop to assemble and test yo know of?

Seems like all your parts from dynacore except gpu, most likely they can do it for free

For XFX 7900XT, have to look at carousell, got 2 SIs selling at 1155
If not you can get from Aftershock at shopee/laz, $1255, recommend to buy from shopee though, because sometimes got vouchers can push the pricing below 1.2k

wah lao, just few posts above, I share the shopee powercolor 7900XTX at 1430, and you still pick gigabyte at $229 more. Even without voucher, it cost $1550, and its still a better pick over the gigabyte

Dont need buy the oem windows dvd from them, go microsoft website and download windows for free onto a usb, then install yourself, after which, go shopee and buy a windows activation key for $8

Thermalright PA 120 is never $120, you must have either seen the amount wrongly or they misprinted. The different variations are selling for 50+ to 60+ only

I did't know the OS can do in this method and you are right, i copy the wrong price for PA 120. only 63.00

thanks for pointing out.

Looking to change my home setup.

Current setup: Macbook Pro
Monitor: Dell P2422HE (Open to upgrade to a better monitor)

Usage:
Netflix, YouTube, normal.internet surfing, MS Office
Games: want to be able to play Hogwarts in future

I've been saving up for a while (budget 2K) for an awesome all white setup, I am after aesthetics (main priority) with nice RGB lights, AIO display, stuffs like that ... as well. Prefer a smaller build if possible. Prefer Lian Li cases. Thank you for helping me in my journey to build my all white dream CPU!

your build quite similar to mine.

i also using the b650m riptide + 7800x3d
Same ram, same ssd
my gpu is 4070ti so lower power consumption ( nvidia 4000 series gpu has good power efficiency esp 4070ti. read from somewhere)
my monitor is the alienware qd oled ultrawide 1440P, gpu more than enough as the games i play are only esports titles.
Same PSU but mine only 850watt which is more than enough as i check my gpu and cpu usage..its like less than 200w consume haha.. esp after i undervolt my cpu+gpu.

Of course I took the inspiration from you bro! ;)
I bought 1000W cos I didn't understand undervolting yet and decided to err on the side of caution since I was getting the power hungry 7900XTX. My monitor is the Dell G3223Q and actually that is the trigger for 4k gaming and hence my 7900XTX. Otherwise I would have gone for your 4070TI.
Was thinking on the 7600 CPU as advised by Nightraven but decided what the heck, 1st build ever so just do it haha. Cost/performance ratio at 4k maybe not worth it but YOLO so

Haven't yet do any heavy testing but the AIO and case fans are all super quiet. Idle GPU draw is also very low according to GPU-Z etc. Sapphire's Strixx software is also nice and I can see all the GPU data + adjust colour etc.
