Other than Treasuries, there is nothing good to buy. For US$ denomiated issues, the gap between Treasuries and non Treasury issues has not widened significantly. This is leading to poor risk reward ratio for non Treasury US$ denominated issues.

The first thing my ex boss told me investing is physiological. Not sure why ppl love to buy when market is up but scare when market goes down. I quite sure many would have gone through same journey.

During bull run, all will cheer each other and buy. During bear, all disappeared. Should be reverse right? Theory all these doesn’t matter if you got no balls of steel.

because they all-in during middle of bull-run and in even more at the 'highs', so when a bigger bear run comes - not only portfolio destroyed but no warchest to dca downwards so no mood and disappear haha

Israel war I think will affect oil related stocks which indirectly affect gold price. So while market not impacted possibly but certain sector stocks within the market maybe affected.

Already in other forum ppl asking about oil stocks and gold how to invest etc.

Can use previous Ukraine war as most recent example. Israel stocks sure kena but I think most readers in this forum has very little direct exposure to Israeli stocks.

Then other markets maybe will have an initial knee jerk reaction of sell down and then after a while slowly go back up and down business as usual like nothing happen.

Dividend investors don't really care if their portfolio decrease as mentioned by AK coz he is not going to sell it and as long as generated income doesn't decrease is ok.

strong gap up on gold, oil and decent gap down on indices, xxx/usd and xxx/jpy pairs. might be an eggciting week . but many times such narrative happens across these few years, the markets just recover back and cruise along...maybe until 1 day the Real Black Swan

The rest will be just noise including the reflexive bid for crude oil. In my opinion, no impact on crude oil supply.

This week the US Treasury dept is issuing lots of new US Treasuries to refinance. All at record high interest rate levels since 2007 which means more federal govt deficits.
3, 6month: 5.5%
3year: 4.9%
10 year: 4.8%

Personally, I feel US intelligence most likely deliberately did not alert Israel about Hamas in order to create safe haven bid for US Treasuries. (purely speculation of coincidences). I mean, those guys (CIA) have no morals.

yea gold is a good one to monitor and add, it was setting up for potential longs from last week after a big fall and last thur/fri it finally tag the Daily zone of late Feb - early Mar this year before rebounding. Let's see if it closes the gap or even dropping back to the Daily zone before adding
