Need. Otherwise, how to get water from the tap? It’s just a matter of big or small hole. The One’s hole is a small one.

And actually, even if don’t need, when I think about my hot flash and water jug, they were at the same spot for as long as I lived in the flat. Hole or no hole doesn’t matter if they are always stationed at the same place.

Aircon I wouldn’t recommend LG. I will only go with Mitsubishi Starmex.

As for water purifier, I would prefer to go with LG as compared to the rojak brands selling in Singapore. So far the LG dispenser is good for me.

Can enlighten me on how your purchase it since it is not available in SG? Thanks!

I intend to get Well’s The One at the coming Taka promo. It’s too pretty to pass up.

Something to consider. The hole needed for the one is much bigger. In future if u somehow don’t find it good or want to change another one, u need to also factor in the restoration of the hole.

Yes that's exactly what I read in this thread. Wells The One will need a big hole on table top and huge storage tank below dispenser, probably hidden into cabinet. Chances are one will be locked in the next iteration of The One if hole and tank are there.

It’s only a 4cm hole. It should be one of the smallest for water dispensers? You either have a huge tank on the table top or in the cabinet.

4cm is smallest? What makes you come to this conclusion?

those on the countertop tank only needed a 5mm-10mm hole fyi.

The “very big hole” is just 4cm. It’s acceptable. In any case, even if I buy another dispenser, it will be covered by the dispenser. I don’t think there will be a dispenser slimmer than 4 cm.

Hahaha, yeah, I paid for it already. After seeing it in the flesh, I can’t unsee it anymore. Any other dispenser can’t be compared to it. Hope the water bill is just a myth.

Indeed. The One is definitely the super model of all dispensers.

Like to share my unpleasant experience with Happie SG Pte Ltd, a CaseTrust accredited company.

I'll just keep it short to avoid putting up a wall of text...

So we happened to dropby Happie showroom at Northtar@AMK.

Sales guy was very friendly, intro-ed the Joy model to us, explained the benefits, its quality as compared to other models blah blah blah.

Then offered us a promo price, with extra sets of filters etc etc. Told us GST increasing the next day, but we can put down a $200 deposit and in case we are unable to install the water dispenser, they can refund us. Kept reiterating about the deposit so we locked up the promo price n goodies etc.

So our impression was that if we can change our mind we could get back the deposit.

So we put down the deposit via PayNow.

After a few days they contacted us to arrange an installation date. We told them place still renovating so cannot. I checked back with the sales guy by when we need inform if we have a change of mind. He told us we can have our time, no need to worry.

So indeed, due to some complications n restrictions, we decided against installing the water dispenser.

We contacted back their WhatsApp business account number about our change of mind. They asked us to wait, have to check with management.

We waited almost a week, got back to them again and was told that management will get back to us.

As we were busy with the new house, we did not press them for the response. Someone finally called me back, but she only the admin handling refunds. She told us in order to process the refund, they have to send installer to our place to confirm indeed cannot install then can refund as this is their SOP. I rejected them instantly, told them no one told us about what SOP. She said she will check with management again.

Till today the management have not given us an official answer. And that sales guy has also left Happie SG.

We have lodged a complaint with CASE. See how it goes.

what are the terms and conditions in the purchase agreement with regards to the refund of the deposit? it is rare for businesses to offer a no-conditions refund policy, you don't have to think too hard to understand why this is so.

Don’t know how a fact can be a myth. And don’t know how cutting a 4cm hole is considered small when other hole cutting are measured in mm. Or how you justify cutting a permanent hole in your table top is being compared to stationing a flask/jug on the table and not moving them. Even if you don’t move your jug, at least you have a proper table for future usage. What are you to do with the hole when you have a change of plan some years down the road? Buy a new table? If so, then good for you.

But anyway you have already bought it so you have a biased opinion hoping not to feel buyer remorse and your dd was well… nvm. I hope I’m wrong though, because then it will be good for you.

If it’s my first house, if I have never been in charge of a kitchen, I would be worried over that 4cm hole. In fact, I would be worried over any hole on the table top.

If you ever had the experience of having a tabletop space occupied by one huge lukewarm water jug (for family use), one small lukewarm water jug (for kid’s use), one hot water flask and one electric kettle for close to two decades, you would realise a 4cm hole is nothing worth being anxious over compared to the 45cm x 45cm space you lose for placing those bulky water vessels

You think you have a proper table top for alternative use. Then where would you move all your jugs, flask and kettle to? The most I did was to push them to the wall, which is another few cm of space, so that I could cut my vegetables or meat.

Even if in the future I want to change to another dispenser, what I would do is to station the new one over that hole. We rarely change where we place our appliances. The other dispensers are monstrous compared to Wells The One so I am sure they would cover up that hole comfortably.
