Nice. Are you using Singtel SIM Only Plus 30 plan?
https://www.singtel.com/personal/products-services/mobile/postpaid-plans/simonly

I checked once earlier this year and another time last week, both in Singtel Shop Jurong Point. I guess different CSO may have different answer.
Could be higher plan or 5G plan. This Singtel SIM Only Plus 30 is a 4G plan.
Xiaofan, yes I am with SIM Only Plus 30 plan now; $20.19 /month which renewed on last month; previously was on SIM Only starter plan.

as they are giving us free 3 months 5G access thus I called their hotline to request for a 5G SIM card and asked for waiver, went to get my new 5G SIM from Jurong Point.

I think you may try to call their hotline and told them the reception of your current SIM card is "so good: and ask for new 5G SIM, hope it works for you, cheers.

Thanks for the tip.

As of now, I am not keen to change to 5G SIM card, lazy to call. I have not called Singtel 1688 for ages. But maybe I will try Singtel WhatsApp channel.

There’s no need too, 5G SA gets you higher peak speeds but lower availability.

After the 2nd service outage for my telco this month, I need a 2nd Sim as a backup. What's the cheapest Sim only plan I can get purely for gpay and electronic payment to work ?

simba will be best backup. if you qualify as senior, can get senior plan at $5/mth
i was actually thinking of something like prepaid ( maybe esim ) where i don't have to pay every month since the outage *touchwood* doesn't happen frequently

Prepaid -- SIMBA S$10 100GB but only 30days. But it is similar for other Telcos if you need higher amount of data.
https://simba.sg/50gb-prepaid-plan

But no eSIM. SIMBA only supports eSIM for postpiad plans.

I tried my other phone with NFC to add CC into Google Wallet. (As my current phone is a China XiaoMi flashed ROM, and cannot get pass the Google security).

No data, can take train.

Hi I'm currently on a $19.90+$5 callerID M1 plan. However been facing really bad connection time to time. I saw much discussions on Heya, zym and seems like vivifi is the most reliable among all. Before I sign up, wanna check with all; if their vibe plan is the most suitable for me

I use average around 30gb per month of mobile data

At most 150-180 Sms

Outgoing 100mins

That's about it

vivifi vibe $10/m includes 100gb data, 300 mins, 100 sms.

Once used up, manual booster purchase is required to continue using. You can also purchase if you need extra.

2GB @ $5.40
200 Mins @ $6.48
100 SMS @ $4.32

vivifi only has browser to check usage and view bills. ZYM and heya has apps to check usage.

no different from singtel network, except the lack of VoLTE (VIVIFI, ZYM) at the moment. Heya has VoLTE.

Lack of VoLTE just means voice calls will use 3G network instead of 4G.
Is it possible to auto top up in heya?

Why is that better? $10 of zero1 is cheaper and hassle free...
i tested my zero1 4g vs my wife Gomo 5g.

Zero4g - 50mbps / 25ms latency
Gomo5g - 850mbps / 10ms latency

This was at Sengkang Swimming Complex and Compass One mall

At home, due to 5g coverage lesser, 4g speed is better.

Because i play xbox remote play when i'm outside on my tablet, latency is super important for me as it really affects the gaming experience. On Zero1 4g my remote play is choppy and unresponsive, on 5g it feels about 10% laggier than playing at home, still tolerable.

So I feel 5g is worth it.

I was planning to switch to Zero1 5g plan at $25/mth, however they said i need to wait for my $10 plan to at least go up to 1 month first.. a bit rigid (I mean i don't mind pro-rating or even forfeiting my $10 but they said no haha)

Also me and my wife use at most 30-50gb, so we will have leftover data every month. I didn't like data rollover feature cause it was lame to me if i never use anyway, but if i can use leftover data to claim roaming data that's quite attractive to me vs Zero1's unlimited throttled data.

Anyway Gomo 5g and Zero1 5g plans are both $25/mth. just that Zero1 5g was better value before this.

end of the day no contract so if zero1 has better value again i switch back LOL
